Cold coffee for summer! Found on PH. Was $39 not long ago.

It looks like could be online only, so the delivery cost of $9.90 sorta kills it but would be good to throw in your cart if you were ordering something from BigW already.
Edit: They are in-store also according to Midz, scanning as $5.

Cold brewed coffee is 65% less acidic than hot brewed coffee
Borosilicate glass carafe is durable and dishwasher safe
Once brewed, coffee remains fresh in the refrigerator for up to 14 days
Silicone gasket lid for drip proof perfection
Easy to clean removable base / Non-slip base for added stability
Made with BPA free materials
Fits neatly into most refrigerator doors
Includes brew filter / Makes approx. 1.18 L

Item only appears available on 4xxx postcodes to be able to add to cart and checkout.

  • Sweet! Been wanting to buy a cold brew kit for a while.

    • +1

Why do you need a kit?

A jug, sieve, coffee filter, water and coffee grinds

Coarse grind, dump it into your water in jug. Let sit for 12-34 hours. Sieve it out. Then use coffee filter for final filter. Done

      • I'd still have to buy that "kit" anyway.

  • I've never even heard of an iced coffee maker, how does it work!

    • Mix Ice and coffee together in a cup

Sounds complex. Could you explain it to me like I'm 5?

        • Sure.

Get a cup and put ice and coffee in it.

    • Coarse grounds in the "filter sock" bit, fill with cold water. Leave in the fridge over night. In the morning you'll have a bottle full of cold brew coffee.

Item is out of stock online.

    • Try putting 4000 as your postcode and then Add to Cart shows up. No idea why their website does that but it seems to work.

What if I don't live in Queensland?

        • Doesn't seem to matter. Try it out and let us know how you go.

EDIT: I got out of stock online when entering my address (VIC). Will go through with a 4000 postcode.

    • That was quick. Was definitely in stock when I posted it. The 4000 postcode works though at the moment.

        Not any more

  • You don't need any fancy equipment for cold brew.. Any glass jar or bottle will do.

    • True but having a good filter makes it easier, and seems like you can just setup and store it in the fridge which makes it pretty convenient. Sadly, looks like it's out of stock in Victoria :(

Aeropress makes great hot or cold brewed coffee.

  • Sweet! The closest cold brew kit on ebay is $30-40 or this exact unit for $56 from the states….(oz)bargain!

  • $15.90 freight to WA. That's a bugger

    • Where in WA, it only charged me $9.90 even when adding another one for the parents.
Are you entering your WA postcode or the QLD one mentioned in the post?

  • I tried my post code again and it said in stock :) SA
    Thanks leTintin

    • Oh never mind they cancelled my Order it still says in stock :(

      • Yep mine was just cancelled too

        • I ordered in Vic, now I'm dreading a cancellation. I only have 3 cold brew methods (and some homemade) I need more!

        • Just got the emails, cancelled :(

They are available in store, I saw a few Rockdale 2216, NSW. They were marked as $39 but scanned up $5, there was no where marked that they were $5.
