Ultra Forstner Bit Set for $9.94 (Was $27.90) at Bunnings Warehouse

240

Visited my local bunnings and came across a set of Forstner bits that i'd been keeping an eye on to become discounted. Quality of these are good enough for the home handy man. Much better result using forstner bit instead of a spade bit. Not sure when it started or when it finishes. All stock were sold out at Parafield SA but they had half dozen at Kent Town.

They must have noticed that Aldi will have them for $10 next Saturday.

    • I got a set of the aldi ones. They are… okay. If you sharpen them up, I'd bump them up to 'fine'.

I probably wouldn't buy them again. A decent set of Woodrivers will only set you back forty bucks.

      • What sizes are the Aldi ones? Same as these?

I'd rate the Bunnings ones the same, not that sharp but ok for the odd job but really after a cheap set with sizes 2mm apart (and a 28mm).

  • Thanks, found em at my local Bunnings… in the router bits section. (Had to ask in the end, since I couldn't find any other forstner bits with all the other drill bits.)

  • Thanks, have been wanting a set of these :)
3 left on the shelf at Cockburn Bunnings.

  • If anyone was interested in the Aldi range, they will be on sale 22nd October.

Probably only good for the odd job around the house.

  • Dewalt small bits sets on ebay also go pretty cheap… like $20 delivered…
