Go to: My Ebay > Bids/Offers > Didn't Win > you will see whether you have the vouchers attached or not.

Still waiting for the code to be activated on my account…

  • I still haven't received my $100 coupon.

  • +6

No email or anything here, I think it was the same last year…

But it appears at the bottom of the ebay summary page:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/myb/Summary

"Thanks for using Click and Collect! Here is your AU $100.00 voucher to be used in one transaction"
    "Redemption code: FORU100"
    "Expires 30/11/16"

    • Nothing on my ebay summary page. Is there a number that I can call?

      • +4

You can live chat them on ebay website, but they will just tell you to wait 24 hours.

        • +1

I just had a chat with their customer service support and I'll get a voucher within the next 24 hours. Their marketing team is sending them out.

  • I got the voucher, but what if I ask for a refund since the item I ordered hasn't arrived a week from the approximate delivery date.

  • I haven't received mine. I just got off livechat and they said I have to wait 15 business days for them to escalate the matter to their marketing team. I said that's BS & called ebay. The CSR said although I was eligible, a credit voucher had not been generated for my account - and if I hadn't called, then nothing would have been done.

She has escalated my matter, said she would get back to me in 48hrs but any manual credit they apply could take longer. She also advised if I had any friends (the great OzB community) that they should also call and advise eBay of this issue … apparently I was the first call they got so they don't regard this as a wider issue yet.

    • same problem, same outcome. will call in two days if nothing happen.

  • Yeah I didn't get voucher either. I just got off live chat and they responded with "As you have not got the AU$50.00 voucher; so, I can forward your purchase details of this item to one of our dedicated team to issue the voucher for your account. Please allow 10-15 business days to get it reflect in your eBay account."

    • Leaving you with possibly less than a week to then purchase. Hopefully you won't miss any item you have your eye on in the meantime.

  • Hmmmm, I was told "go ahead buy whatever you want" and contact us to give you a $100 refund.

Edit: the reason a refund was offered, because it is hard to issue a voucher now.

  • I just called them and was told they would need to check with Marketing and get back to me later today. Confirmed transaction was eligible for the promo. What annoys me is I've been waiting about 10 days to use it for another item I want to purchase and now just further delays. I find it odd that customer care don't have the ability to apply it to your account once they have verified eligibility.

I've experienced similar issues with eBay's promotions previously - CC can't do anything about it and need to bump it over to marketing for action. The whole thing is a joke - eBay never has trouble billing me every month for my sales, PayPal extracts its fees like clockwork, yet these regular promotions always seem to have issues when it comes to crediting qualifying participants.

  • Latest Update:

I haven't received my $100, thus waited 24 hours. Live chatted today, and was told that a request has now been submitted to credit my paypal account with $100. I have also confirmed that this will be in the form of real cash credit into my paypal account and is not in the form of a voucher. They have also acknowledged that, this has been the case with many other customers who did not receive their promotional voucher, so manual credit is being applied on the basis of first come first serve, this is why they are being told to advise 10-15 days turn around time.

I would recommend starting a live chat as you will have a proof of record.

    I hope this helps.

Seems like eBay are aware of the issue now. I called them and they said the marketing team are working on it, and I will receive it within 5 business days. I didn't even say that I had not received the voucher yet. She knew what I was calling about when i mentioned the Click & Collect offer.

    • First 15 days - then a REFUND for Paypal - now 5 days … it's a debacle.

  • I've been promised I'll get my voucher in 24-48hrs, after waiting an original 24 hrs.

  • Has anyone got the voucher yet?

    • Yes…$50 voucher code showing up at bottom of My Ebay page under heading Vouchers

  • Just got an email from ebay saying to wait 5 business days for the voucher. I respectfully gave them some constructive crtisicim regarding this entire process… I doubt it will be as respectful if the voucher hasn't arrived in 5 days.

  • I still haven't the $100 voucher after 24 hours and now they told me to wait another 7 days as their marketing team is working on it. They received a massive amount of claims.

  • Just purchased an item off eBay and upon check out under the PayPal coupon section you can tick the box "apply FORU100" coupon or whichever you got . It worked for me. I didn't receive an email but it was in the eBay page to be redeemed.

  • +3

No voucher received either. Paypal and eBay are repeat scumbag chancers making people jump through hoops in the hope that they won't bother or plain forget about it. It has happened far too often to be written off as a coincidence. Negged.

  • Hidden down the bottom of 'My eBay' page for me.

  • Not received yet after 3 days. Sad.

  • Yes, it is on the bottom on page
    http://www.ebay.com.au/myb/Summary

  • Can anyone please tell me how on earth to find the option of live chat so I can request mine? NM Found it #annoying

  • +3

just found out you can't stack up this voucher with the current 20% off (CHEER20). IMO, this should be stack-able.

  • Sadly, it is not stack-able.

  • OK - Latest update - I was told to wait 24hrs (in case code miraculously comes thru), then I can buy whatever I want and livechat with them again and ask for a $50 Paypal refund after I make my purchase. They gave me a reference number as well to back this up …

  • +1

I was just told via live chat that they're crediting my paypal account $100 instead of the voucher, and to expect it within 10-15 days. Initially the guy said $50 (I corrected him), then said I wasn't eligible because I ordered on the 17th (he linked to U.S. ebay which put the date further back than when I actually ordered). Pretty dodgy.

I got email confirmation of the $100 credit just in case…

    • +1

That is better outcome as you now can stack up with other voucher code.

  • So I guess I need to talk to livechat too.

  • Merged from Has anyone received their $50 or $100 ebay voucher from the Ebay Click & Collect Promotion in October?

    In regards to this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/270891

I still haven't received my voucher. I have been on the ebay chat help twice.

The first time they told me to wait 1-2 days, which was 2 days ago. I checked again today nothing.

Went back on the ebay help chat and they told me to logout of my account and log back in and check My Ebay and scroll to the bottom, nothing is there is no Vouchers tab, I even did a chrome search of the word "Voucher" on My Ebay page. The Ebay rep also told me that if that didn't work, try the voucher code FORU100. Tried this and it didn't work… Any one else having issues or has not been issued with their ebay Voucher?

  • Just got off the phone with Ebay and they said there is a massive delay in vouchers. They said to check again in 5 Business days from yesterday. So looking at Tuesday the 8th of November next week.

  • I received my voucher, was automatically applied to my account as soon as I collected the item.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4136617/redir

  • have you guys received it? I haven't received anything yet…

    • NO, have to wait 6 more days.

    • Nope. Will probably chase up again on Monday if not received by then.

      • yeah had a live chat as well and got told it would take 72 hours?! what a joke..

  • +1

    From livechat:
    Yashwant 8:33 AM
No worries, I am forwarding a manual request for credit from my end for that to our "Marketing and Promotions team". Their decision on this will be final
    Yashwant 8:33 AM
It will take 10-15 days for that to be applied to your ebay account
    me 8:39 AM
Can you confirm that the item purchased was eligible for the voucher, according to all the criteria eBay outlined?
    Yashwant 8:41 AM
Yes as I am checking everything is fine. But the final decision will be of our concerned team

It seems like your eligibility for the promotion will come to a retroactive team decision, as opposed to fulfilling the criteria as originally outlined. Poor business practice or incompetence?

  • From my past experience, the paypal credit that we are awaiting for will take more than 15 days. It took them more than 2 months and that's after I involved Docep to tell Ebay. They are hoping that we will give up chasing the credit.

  • just check my ebay account, its hidden down the bottom of 'My eBay' page for me as well.

  • No $100 Voucher there for me after waiting 24, then another 48hrs and now been told to wait another 24 hrs.

  • How do you get the voucher? I bought within all the conditions and still havent received my voucher?

    • consider the comments above - there is a problem with eBay issuing some of the vouchers - might be worth contacting them and letting them know you are affected

      • Definitely worth contacting if you haven't received. Seems like the automated wave has already gone out. In order to get the voucher (at this time) your case will have to be manually forwarded to their promotions team for their "decision." Ugh.

  • +1

It has officially become a joke at eBay. I just got another update email. This time I was told they won't be able to get me a voucher, that ship has sailed. The system cannot generate them anymore apparently. I was told to spend $50, then contact them again with an eBay transaction ID, then get this, wait 21 business days for the $50 to be credited to my account. Unreal. I bet actually getting that $50 will be more traumatic that getting this voucher.

    • sinners007,

I was in similar situation, where ebay cust service team tried to back out from a cashback promised by one of their Livechat staff to me.
Took several further livechats and calls to make them keep their word.

If yours is a case of them not honoring the deal despite you following all T&Cs then its a real worry. Sorry I haven't followed the entire convo here.

I've tried putting my case as simply and clearly as possible to their livechat staff, and they just kept denying and coming up with their own "facts of the situation", its irritating and did make them sound like a brain dead script reader.

      • After some haggling, I purchased an item while on the live chat, sent them the item number and paypal address and they have said they will refund me the value of the voucher within 15-21 days.

      • +1

i think their live chat team is even worse than vodafone's - and that's saying something. Poor comprehension and making up "facts" on the spot are 2 of my biggest annoyances.

also, 'when in doubt say "that's not in our policy"' seems to be their department mantra.

  • I was promised my voucher 48 hours ago and am still waiting

  • They said that I didn't receive the voucher because I used a $25 Paypal voucher on purchase. Pretty slack IMO

    • i call bs - i used the targeted $25 voucher but received a $100 voucher anyway.

  • +1

Spoke to two reps via livechat today. One told me to wait another 24hrs, the other offered to refund $100 if I contact them after buying something (they said this would take 15-21 days).

Pretty sure next time I won't participate in this kind of promotion. Just give me a clean % off purchase price please.

  • Live chat with them everyday. I have been told today that the funds will be credited back into my account in 15 days. Because i keep asking why its taking so long they keep resubmitting a query which they reply with a wait time of 15 days each time.

Perhaps it would be best to stop making contact with them…

  • Spoke with them today and got a response similar to others here. But on the brightside the 'credit' that they're issuing us is usuable alongside other promotions so we could combine them with other 20% off deals.

    • That's assuming you actually do receive the $100 credit to your paypal account. I was also told yesterday to just buy something, and then ask for the $100 credit to be applied afterwards.

I'm not sure whether to go ahead and buy something, when it's been so difficult to get a simple voucher applied to my account.

      • I was told the same. After I made the purchase, it was much hassle and chasing up to get the actual credit awarded. And it took them 5-6 weeks from my first contact to get the $

  • After 7 days still nothing, I won't spend anymore money on Ebay until they send me the $100 voucher credit.

  • I tried live chat a few days ago and whilst I got confirmation in writing that I was eligible for the voucher, nothing turned up in 4 days so I tried call-back today. Surprisingly, despite an estimated 36mins wait, it only took about 5 mins for them to call-back.

Like others, they requested I purchase something for the voucher value or above and that they would credit my PayPal account after 10 days - I assume working days. I did request a reference number for the call which they willing gave me. I've subsequently bought an item for $312 within 5 mins of the call taking place (told them I was going to).

Time will tell, but I suspect this will work out ok.

  • I received the latest email updates.

    "
    Hi PW,

Thanks for keeping in touch with us regarding your voucher concern. We do apologise for the delay on the voucher issuance.

Please know, PW, that there has been some technical lag on the system due to an unprecedented voucher distribution volume. We were originally advised by our Marketing team that it may take about a week or so for batch processing, hence the delay.

Nevertheless, since you're on our record of eligible members who'll receive the voucher, PW, please be assured that you will certainly get it.

We greatly appreciate your patience and kind understanding on this matter.

    Kindest regards,

    eBay Customer Service
    "

Have to wait another 7 days or more…

    • +1

PW - perhaps try livechat again - refer above what I was told on 6/11/16 by eBay. They agreed to refund me $50 into my Paypal account - I got that today and issue is resolved.

      • I emailed them today and they agreed to refund $100 to my Paypal account if I buy something $100 or more without using a coupon code. But I have to wait another 15 days to see the money in my Paypal account. I think everyone should use this option. Cheers!

  • Just received an email from eBay saying I had an USA address somewhere in my address list so I'm not eligible for the promo, WTF? Not to mention that's not even my default address, I logged in from eBay.com.au purchased from an Aussie seller, paid from my AU verified PayPal using an AUssie bank cc card and picked up from Local BigW. What a joke! Can I ask my bank to do a cc charge back if eBay refuse to provide credit? Anyone had similar problem?

    • I'd call them - explain your case politely & they should hopefully right their wrong.

      • Thank you for the tips. I called them for 3 times and finally spoken to someone who's truely there to help. I ended up buying another thing over $100 on full price to get eBay issuing me a "credit" back into my PayPal. I am still waiting for the credit to hit my PayPal. Fingers crossed.

  • +1

Just got my $50 credited to my Paypal account. Took 6 days from when I contacted them & informed them that I had made a $50+ purchase on eBay.

    • Well, this sounds promising.

Did you receive an email from eBay or PayPal about it ? Was it in the form of PayPal credit/balance or was it credited to your bank/CC balance ?

      • Well, I had sent & received several emails with eBay regarding the issue. After my last email whereby I informed them I had spent the $50 & they responded that they were forwarding this to their promotions team, I didn't hear back. 6 days later I get a an email from Paypal telling me eBay had paid me $50. All extremely poorly handled.

        • Thanks, 4 days to go for me then

  • I emailed ebay support about this 10 days ago and was told it assured that it had been forwarded to their marketing dept to look after. Emailed them again today to follow up and get an ETA and was told "it takes 21 business days for the voucher to be available since this is being reviewed and released by batch".

    • That's a lie, keep calling until you get someone that say it will be credited to your account after you made a +$100 purchase

  • This is what I got from chat today. And I am puzzled!!

"I have checked and could see that your request is in processing period .The maximum time frame is 25-30 days .I suggest you to please wait till that date .I can see that your request is in processing status ."

    • +2

Was told maximum was 15 days 15 days ago, and 20 days yesterday. I can tell what I could get told when I contact them in 5 days. I pretty much give up. Will never participate in this type of promote again. What a joke!

      • Yeah they really are shit this time around. I'm still waiting for my code as well, despite chats and emails telling me it was coming.

        • Yeh same.. still waiting for my code.. ridiculous.. post here if you ever get it..

  • Just wanna ask, does the code works in covering the shipping cost as well?

  • Still waiting as well. Was told 10-15 business days. Today it makes 17. Another Live Chat results in being asked to wait another few days. Asked about getting a paypal credit but no go.

    Very very poor

    • I was offered the PayPal credit, but never turned up. Contacted them, they replied, but every time they referred to the marketing department and no news after that. It'd be a miracle if the credit ever turns up. Lol

      • Likewise, my regular enquiries just keep getting referred to marketing with no reply or result.

  • +1

I still haven't received mine after 30 days. This promotion is BS and should be banned in future post!

  • Got back on the chat again this arvo to have another whinge about it….blah blah blah, same old story…escalate to marketing and get back to me in 24 hours. Yeah right - sure you will. I told them straight out they're a bunch of dishonest cheats who don't honour their promotions…feel a bit better now! :)

  • Hi all, for those who has trouble getting your credit back from Ebay, I would not further waste my time to contact Ebay. From my experience, I will go straight to DOCEP and they will contact Ebay to sort out. It will be a bit of delay and work on writing to DOCEP, but you will not be further disapointed as Ebay will pay quicker.

  • I noticed that they tend to create new case numbers whenever I contact them despite my replies using the original thread and case number.

I prefer all communication within one long email to keep track but this is clearly a dodgy practice eBay :(

  • Is it worth trying to get in touch with this guy at eBay?

  • So after following up yesterday with ebay. They came back and offered a manual $100 refund via paypal for my next transaction. So I made apurchase and they got back to me saying they will process the paypal credit but could take 21 days..
    So the wait begins again..

    • I had been offered this exactly one month ago….

    • @Steven Thomas: You're playing their game now - the whole point of the promotion was to give you an incentive to make a purchase. They've screwed up (or are withholding) some of the redemptions, and now are making you purchase something else in order to claim the reward for the initial purchase. Why reward their shitty business ethics?

      • Well to be fair the original $100 was to be a voucher to be used on a future purchase anyway..

I'll keep on it.. at least I have it all in writing that a credit is to be issued..
