  4wd supercentre are doing are recovery kit with a bit more stuff included for 99 sometimes on special for 79
  That being said, snatch straps don't last forever and you'll need a spare if it more than a few years old
  When they break they come back at you breaking windscreens, rear windows, so you need the weight bags that hang on

  These are not cheap chinese dodgey straps like what some retailers are pushing.

    they don't break because their dodgey
    They all break when they get aged
    If you don't know this then u haven't much experience using snatch straps

    This brand of kit is sold be multiple retail vendors, even on Ebay. However even the company website does not indicate what country the gear is made in.

    Due to 'testing limitations' the 9m straps (for sale here) could not be tested, so the results are for the 5m version (which are not for sale).
    Ultimate Load for the 6t strap was 59.1kN, and for the 8t strap 80.1kN

    According to the doc on 4WD SC: https://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/products/recovery-gear/herc…
    Their 8t strap was tested to 103kN (the actual 9m strap on sale was tested).

    The 4WD SC kit is cheaper ($99 inc delivery) includes more gear (Damper, Tree protector, extension)
    AND the snatch strap was tested to be 2335kg stronger (tested in Australia by an NATA Accredited Laboratory).

    …. go figure about the "cheap … dodgey straps".
