Map Coffee Pod / Capsules $3 for 10 Pack @ Coles (Pods Expiry 2018)

550

Hi all , Cheapest I have ever seen for these quality coffee pods. Lowest price I ever got them for was $4 a box of 10. Normally $5
This week only at Coles reduced to $3 per box. Plenty of stock on all strength pods.
These are suitable for the Caffitaly system machines. In my honest opinion next best tasting coffee pods after nespresso. Will suit perfectly with the recent Saeco machine deal from Map.

What is everyone's favourite Caffitaly pods? Loving the Gloria Jeans ones personally as I'm looking for the creamier side of coffee.

    • map brand- cappuccino
      Grinder- crema and arabica
Gloria jeans - Nicaragua and rich dark roast

I must say I only ever stock up on these when they're on special

      • map brand- cappuccino

        This! Love this pod!!!

    What a waste of plastic.

The used capsules can easily be recycled after removing the coffee and throwing in the mulch.

      • +3

True, but after you do that you will find it takes less effort if you just brew the coffee in a machine that takes coffee beans/grind

      • +1

I think it would taste better if you removed the coffee prior to brewing

Personally, i love the coffee but i really hate the machine compare to my nespreso machine…

This is cheaper than Costco, who sell 8x10 Pack (80 Pods) for something like $31.98
Costco usually stock Medium (green) and Strong (brown)
Recently Costco stocked 80 chocolate pods for something like $8.72.

    • Costco still has the chocolate ones for $9.97. Saw them yesterday.

  • +1

Saw that in local Coles wanted to try the strong.
Woolies brand alos taste ok, I bought pack of 16 pods for $4 equivalent to $.25 each. Looked at the Moccona I bought previous week and the use by/plant code look exactly the same.

  • Silly question here- but are these compatible with Dolce Gusto machines?

    • +1

No, Only for the Caffitaly system machines .

Has anyone found a better cheaper nespresso pod than the $3.70 Coles branded "12" intensity pods? They are seriously the best pod coffee around for the price I think I've tried everything too. But just wanted to check here :)

    • You must like your coffee extremely weak…I would say the Coles #12 is similar to the L'OR #7.

      • I didn't like anything above 7 in L'OR, tasted like garbage. That was when they were good too, not like what is going around in the current L'OR special next week.

I think the Coles #12 is about the same as a lot of 9 or 10's in other ranges.

But please, suggest a better pod at a similar price because I am willing to try anything for a better pod coffee (but don't bother mentioning anything else in the supermarket range because I've tried them all I think).

I still haven't finish the free capsule from MAP. I actually like the rich dark roast from Gloria Jeans!

  • Refill them with Vittoria Oro or Piaza Del Oro. Can't beat it

Thanks OP just stocked up on extra strong capsules. For some reason my local Costco only stocks medium so this deal was very welcome

  • they are not compatible with Nespresso systems right?

    • +1

      No, only Caffitaly

  • Costco has MAP strong and medium capsules 80 packs for 23.49 until 25 October, just over 29 cents a pod. Hot chocolate $9.97, 12.5 cents a pod.

  • Do they fit in Aldi's coffee machine?

    • They actually do fit and work fine but have the potential to get stuck when pod is bloated after the first coffee . You need to wait a couple of minutes after making your coffee before ejecting or making another to avoid the pod getting stuck in the machine.
      They actually work well.

    • no they dont

      • +1

I just bought them and it fits and works.

  • Tested the MAP medium roast capsules I brought from coles today, can confirm that they taste bad. Very disappointed.

    • +2

"can confirm that they taste bad" Lol, what are you, Lieutenant Tastebud? Not that taste is subjective or anything anyway, but I can confirm that these are the second best tasting pods I've had behind nespresso.

      • Yes ,you are right. I am personally feeling disappointed for the taste of that kind of pod. Do you feel better now? Lol.

  • for $3 for a box of 10, don't really care if they are sub standard. It's coffee after all.

This is ozbargain is it not? If you want top notch coffee, go pay $6 for one at a cafe.

    • -1

Can't I just go pay $4 for the great coffee I get in the CBD every day? Do I need to pay $6?

  • +2

Bargain = 10 coffees sub standard coffees for $3

    Non Bargain = 1 coffee for $4

    You do the math….

    ;)
