Samsung Dishwasher $469 @ Costco [Membership Required]

70

Just picked up a samsung dishwasher (DW60H6050FW) for $469 at COSTCO. It seems to be above $600 everywhere else so thought it was worth a post here.

The same model is stainless steel is $659 which isn't particularly cheap.

It doesn't get the greatest reviews, but it is a good price and with the COSTCO lifetime warranty it is hard to go wrong.

On a scale of 1-10 how self combustible is this appliance ?

Just don't put a video of it modded into GTA on YouTube…

    • Somewhere between a washing machine and a Note 7.

Did you see if they have any decent washing machine deals?

    • +1

No sorry. I was actually going in just to buy the stainless version (all they had previously) and saw they now have white as well for a much better price. I will try to look next time I am in, but probably won't be until next weekend.

Can Costco do a deal with a fire extinguisher?

    • More importantly can you still take it back for a refund after you have used it?

I've heard airlines don't allow passengers to bring these on to the plane.

    • Never heard any one bring a dishwasher to the plane, you might be the first one.

At least the dishes will come out nice and hot

    • If you can get them out if they have not dissolved in the heat…

      • World first: Pyrolytic dishwashing technology from industry leader Samsung.

      • You have to put the clay in, will comes out as brand new dish or bowl. It's a Dish Maker not washer.

  • stoppable like air-con or non-stoppable like washing machine?? need centrifuge? a bit scared recently

  • I've been using the stainless version for a year now. My first dishwasher so can't compare, but it cleans everything I chuck into it nice and hot, and most importantly, it's not exploded yet !

STAY AWAY from Samsung!!!, only purchase mobile from them nothing else. I had a Samsung air con with nothing but problem. Regardless of the warranty, their after sale service is absolutely shocking. Worst experience ever with them. They will try to do everything not helping you.

    • Yep we've had the same experience with a TV and a fridge. Samsung aren't interested in helping with warranty calls at all.

      • I can only comment on my experience. I have had 2 Samsung mobile phones with no problems. I have a Samsung plasma TV which developed a problem a few months out from end of warranty. They were very helpful when I rang up and sent someone out to replace the screen and worked perfectly since. Like every manufacturer they have good and bad products and research first pays off.

Actually I'd buy one and hope it blows up - as long as you upload the video, Samsung will offer you a bribe to take it down!

Have 3 Samsung TVs - have had 2 Samsung fridges, a phone and a tablet - no issues with any of them.

However I would baulk at a washing machine and I just don't know whether the dishwasher is made by the same part of the company.

    • By your own admission that you don't know so why baulk at it ? Research first ?

      • Simple logic. I just don't know whether the dishwasher is made by the same part of the company, so I won't take the risk and it is much easier to go elsewhere. You can if you want to. I chose not to.
