  • In WA we start Promos Monday or Tuesday

    • +1

This promo is starting nationwide today, the logic is that the last cheap promo - 9for9.95 finished on a tuesday, therfore there would be 5 days without a cheap promo so the $5 box started early

      • KFC forgot to tell the stores that - Warnbro said it doesnt start until Monday

        • Show them the website, ask them to check there emails, show them facebook… It's started today but they just forgot to tell people

        • @oscinator1988:
its not on the promo section lol…

        • @TheMoDz:
Promo section of what? The register?
It's listed in the P13 section, on the bottom left

  • can anyone from NSW confirm?

    • Yep avaiailbe everywhere

      • +1

Except kfc stores closed for reno

        • A lot of stores are being remodlled at the moment from what I've seen…. Im pretty sure they are rolling out digital menu boards nation wide and also instaling frozen drink machines nation wide, though these remodels only close the front counter for 1 day…

  • +6

Sounds like about time for a 5$ box promotion.

Shame. I can afford the money, but not the Calories.

    • you're not the only one, i myself need to cut down on calories

      • If you guys exercise right or have a high metabolism, don't worry too much about kj/kcal.

People these days are too concern about not exceed the 8700kj number. That's arbitrary.

The extra chips and drink on survey code……

  • +15

Yesterday I went to KFC thinking I would get a double crunch burger meal only to remember that it's $9.95 for 9 pieces of chicken on Tuesdays. I thought "What the heck, I'll eat some now and some for dinner". Turns out you can also get 2 large sides for $5.95 on top of it so I got a bunch of corn cobs and a large chips. Asked for a 600ml bottle of Pepsi as well but the manager said "It's the same price for the 1.25l due to a deal" so I got the 1.25l.

20 minutes later I had an empty packet of chips, a bunch of clean corn cobs and an empty bottle of Pepsi.

This has nothing to do with the deal. I just thought I needed to publicly shame myself before I make similar plans for next Tuesday.

    • Could be entirely wrong so ignore me if I am, but I heard somewhere that yesterday was actually the last day of that deal :'(

      • yes it is :)

        • Damn. On the downside, no more cheap chicken. On the upside, I may live to see 40.

        • @GunnerMcDagget:

Some food court stores have bring back dinner pack which is basically what you got but it costs $15.

Also if you live at a store with Xpress App, Get the Cheap as Chips meal.

    • Mate, you done well, you ate everything and keep the chicken for dinner, it's where the calories came in the most.

      • +3

Ok. I admit it. I also ate all the chicken. But I had a nice salad for dinner.

        • Chicken Cesar salad taste better with KFC.

  • Not coming up in the Express App for Richmond NSW.

Available until 4pm for a limited time only at participating stores, excluding Hobart.

  • Vic confirmed

  • +1

This deal is nationwide except for Hobart. Available until 4PM daily
    Upsize the chips for $1.40
Swap to regular drink for $0.50
Swap to Upsize drink for $0.50 +$0.90
    Swap to Krusher for $0.50 + $2.00

    • Do you know what we get instead? And yes I have heard all the tassie jokes before so don't bother

      • Probably a trial item. Im not sure

        • Doesn't matter, turns out my local kfc is closed for renos :( so sad, wish they would post a reopening date

        • @tassieeagle: Major renovations (If a store is closed both drive thru and front) take ~ 12 weeks to complete. Before they closed they should have advertised it for 1 month that they were being renovated

        • @oscinator1988: 12 weeks! I just died inside

        • @tassieeagle: No more KFC til February :(

    • Isn't the gaytime krisher $2.??

Why pay 50c, plus pay $2 to get a krusher when you can get small drink and krusher for the $2, saving 50c and have two drinks…..

Is it still between 1 and 5

      • Yeah that'd work between 2pm and 5pm when the Krusher is $2 (keep in mind this deal is only until 4pm) but outside of those times it would cost $3.95

      • The gaytime is only $2 for 5 more days.

    • Upgrade to Frozen Drink?

      • Unfournately the price for upgrading to a frozen drink costs more than the frozen drink itself.
Swap to Freeze for $0.50(can->regular)+$0.80(regular-Freeze) is $1.30
        A freeze is only $1.

    • What do you mean by 'swap to Krusher for $0.50 + $2.00'. When I was there they (probably erroneously) said they could only 'add' not 'swap' out the drink. For the Krusher it was $2.5 extra bringing the total to $7.50. :/

      • What I meant, was that you could swap out the pepsi max for $2.50. A Krusher normally costs $3.95

  • Why bother upgrading the chips and drink if you can get it for free with the GES? Save yourself a few dollars.

In all my life in ordering KFC, I have never seen anyone in person when ordering using the GES.

    • WTF is GES?

    • I genrally work Friday/Saturday nights beetween 5 and 10.

I normally see around 1 or 2 GES's every night, most of these are regulars who use it everytime.

I genuinely dont understand why so few people use the system, its pretty simple and you get $6-$8 free.

      • it doesn't help when the store doesn't give a receipt which mine didn't last time, i would've asked but presumed they put it in the bag. Maybe they did it deliberate so they dont have to give me freebies!

        • +2

Managers bonus comes from reaching a set amount of surveys a month. You should always get a receipt

        • good to know thanks

        • @oscinator1988: Got a few receipts stored up. Hopefully can use them before they fade.

        • Always ask for receipts. My local stores always give them out but some don't so I asked for them.

And plus with the survey both sides win. We get free chips and drinks for spending only $4.95 or more (large chips and 1.25l drink if $19.95+) and you can just rate them excellent so they get a benefit too.

When I do the survey usually if I have no issues, I'll just rate everything excellent, helps them out too. So everyone wins.

I think so few people use it cause they don't want to do work i.e spending 1-2 minutes doing the survey or like most stores they don't even bother checking so just write any random 5 digits code.

      • Can I ask to split the transaction in three or is this pushing it?

        • What do you mean by that? In Drive Thru there is a limit of 2 transactions per car, however on the front counter I guess there an infinite amount of transactions you can make.

        • @oscinator1988: For the free chips/drink. Thanks a lot! Would they mind?

        • +1

@Savas: Well… It's kind of abusing the system but you can try. I think in the fine print it does say limited to one offer per person per day

        • @oscinator1988: I was going to go with two other people, but thanks for letting me know - don't want to abuse the system

        • +1

@Savas: If you have 2x receipts and you have 2 orders, and 2 people there shouldn't be a problem as long as you legitimately completed the survey.

        • @oscinator1988: I always do it legitimately and know who my local store managers are

  • how big are the snack size popcorn chicken compared to a regular? like 2/3 the size? Has anyone else tried to use a Shop a Docket voucher with this or other offers or do u get knocked back due to the 'not in conjunction with any offer' rule? These deals are very clever by KFC, they know a small amount just give you a taste to buy more!

    • Its half the size of a regular. What shop a docket vouchers are you referring to?

      • the $6.95 Dinner for 1. Hardly worth bothering since a regular popcorn chicken is fairly tiny anyway, although good for at least the chips & drink i spose.

  • I don't normally get kfc but got this for lunch today. When they gave me the Persi max I said that I don't drink it the girl said that's what comes with the meal I said I would like regular Pepsi so managed to get a bigger can😀

    • yeah but did u have to pay extra for it? i don't like Pepsi Max either, taste bleh. Can the employee here confirm if the snack size cans come in regular Pepsi etc?

      • You need to pay $0.50 extra to not get the mini pepsi max.

        • Only 250ml drink available is Pepsi Max. If you want the 375ml cans, then it's 50c more.

        • The girl at the drive through said I will have to do that next time. They should have more choices anyway not everyone likes Pepsi max.

        • @ausbob71: It's how the make money on the $5 box, by saying that unless you like pepsi max its $5.50

      • On a side note, on the $5 box we used to have both pepsi and pepsi max, but from my store there was so many of each left over at the promo end that I guess they just made it one drink

        • well i reckon they should make the default drink Pepsi, not Max, its probably more popular. Im guessing though that its part of a deal with the Pepsi company to kinda promote the Max brand so maybe Kfc gets discounts on their Max stock for putting it in their meals.

Or, better yet, hone a skill for life by cooking chicken and chips yourself: http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/14905/crumbed+chicken+and+ch…

Needless to say, doing so also reduces packaging waste,* with local ingredients supports your community, is more healthy and a great way to bond with family and love interests.

*Most KFCs recycle only the cooking oil and sadly nothing else.

    • +2

Pretty sure people get KFC for the convenience, not for the taste.

Downvoted by KFC interests and environmental terrorists, I suspect.

    Offer not available in VIC

    • I live in vic and got it today.

    • where does it say not available in vic? Maybe it was the store you went to, i think they have the right to refuse to participate in some deals…

  • The 'Hobart/TAS' exclusion has been removed so now you can get this deal there too.

PS: This deal is available all day on Xpress.

    • if you do an order on the Xpress app, can you still claim the free chips and drink from the GES?

      • yea if you pay by cash and not by credit card.

So what you do is click on 'pay at counter or drive thru', mention your order number then let them know you did the survey.

        • oh i see. thanks

  • Oh so yum… no KFC near my work tho doh!

  • Does anyone know whether a KFC store which doesn't participate in the 'Xpress' program will nonetheless honour the special deals listed in the 'Xpress' app if you mention the name of the deal?

    • Depeneds which store it is. @Chrispc might be able to know. But I'm from a QLD Store which has a different register software. We have none of the Xpress deals on it as the register software doesnt support xpress. For a store which runs the correct register software which supports xpress Im guessing that the deals might be on the register but you would need to check.

  • Local KFC didn't let us upgrade chips to large or swap out squat sized drink for a normal sized can :(

    • +1

pretty silly as they charge you to upsize so it's not like they are giving it out for free.

The employee who serve you is probably a lazy employee too lazy to press a few extra buttons.
