So, the K1 Plus, I could use it as a set top box, kind of? How about recording, time shifting, good EPG, even dual tuner perhaps?

    • from the spec I can see, not sure whether it supports additional USB DVB-T though?
      1 x Satellite tuner
      1 x Free-to-air DVB-T tuner

      • A USB DVB-T tuner will work. D-Link have a USB adapter with an app for Android.

    • I got hold of the Kiii model off Aliexpress some months ago. The H265 is great for the HEVC files that now abound. As for the wifi, that has since stopped working. Kodi has all the illegitimate features. As for this model with the tuner looks interesting, certainly if theres a F*tel hack for the satellite tuner - will it take cams let alone a smart card?

  • @Rep, are you able to post a list of the satellite channels? cheers!

  • Reviews are here, not bad apparently, not sure it does scheduled recording and save them to external HD or NAS? what about real time streaming to Phone, Tablet, Computer, etc.?

  • @Clear

Is this the best amlogic box on the market atm?

Or are the other ones uve posted previosly better?

need one of these for parents to watch chinese tv if you know what i mean

Would like to know the same as well. In market for an S905 SOC box for openelec/liberelec build as S905 is the most stable chipset around ATM. Rep, would you care to comment? Ideally looking for something that can pass-through DD/DTS/HD audio via HDMI.

Get at least a 2GB Ram version tv box

      • what about the xiaomi mi box. is that any good

does it support chinese tv and kodi like these ones?

        • Is Chinese TV done through apps? If not then a USB tuner would probably have to be used. Kodi works on the Mi Box and the Walmart version should be released globally next month.

        • @Clear: the android boxes i usually get usually come preloaded with apps that you can stream chinese tv through

i think uve listed some previously too? do these K1 boxes come with these apps?

also geekbuying are listing a T5E action camera

is that Ambarella chip better or worse than the Go pro/Xiaomi yicam 2?

        • @furythree: Besides the DTV app for the DVB there is IPFox preloaded.

With the T5E being new there isn't enough information on the specific SoC being used. Based on the price I think it's safe to assume the Yi 4K Action Camera would be better.

        • @Clear: ah ok

what is the best tv box available at the moment? i heard a kIII is coming out?
