GAME at Southland (Cheltenham, Victoria) were having this amazing in-store sale on a heap of Xbox 360 games and DS games.

Left For Dead 2 was only $8.00 but I was whisked away by the girlfriend before I could make a more comprehensive list (or, indeed buy it).

Basically, there were games at $2, $8 and $12.

The dude said that this sale was Australia wide (in-store only) and included the Elite console for $259 (yes, JB are $10 bucks cheaper).

Sorry I couldn't have included more games.

Edit - Sorry, I meant Left For Dead 2 (that's more enticing, right??)

    DAMNIT! I was there yesterday. Got Mirror's edge for 8 but didn't see this… Will try and get there again.

    Looked on their site, X360 specials, there are a few 8/12/18 there, but didn't see L4D2. Then again, didn't see Mirror's Edge either and that was on sale in store.

        australian version had to be really toned down compared to NZ/other versions. In Non AU version there is lots more blood, zombies heads come off, and there is a zombie that looks like a police officer, not sure what he does, but that is banned in australia.

        Some would say its still the same game, but really its not that different to L4D1 once you take out the new gore…

        but for $8 who cares!

        Actually I'd say it's more like the Au censors declined it classification, so the developers spitefully took as out much content as they could.

        What you end up with is a game with about half the atmosphere it started with. L4D1 had more 'gore' than the sequel.

      Totally agree. It was ruined. Sure the gore is not everything….but id say its at least half of the experience. Retarded Aus Government.

    Yo fellas, the game store down in Mill Park Westfield (VIC) had a heap of games under $10. Few good PC games, my little brother found Gears of War for $8 brand new! Had a pre owned sticker on it but the COA was still intact and it was still shrink wrapped he he ;)
