I know it says compatibility is for Apple devices only, I’m pretty sure that’s just for the cable, as Apple devices with a headphone jack are designed slightly differently. The headphones use bluetooth and so you should be able to connect it to any bluetooth device, and plug the cable into any audio jack but lose the remote functionality.

I don’t think this deal is particularly good value though, unless you really like the colours. The new Beats Solo 3 are out and the cost $299, and if you have Apple devices they connect to your devices much better than the Solo 2.

    • I have Beat solo 2 wireless and it work with my Samsung phone and windows laptop over the bluetooth and cable both, but I wasn't too sure about Active series.

    • I was just researching the same and yes its only the cable 'remote talk' functionality that is iOS 'certified' says may work with others but bla bla.. As wireless headphones I think they would work with any device on the same bluetooth standard.

  • "Compatible with Apple's Product Only" bulls - will work with any BT,
but they put that sentence so people can justify extra $100 on top of normal prices on comparable headsets.

  • Note that this is an old model: the solo3 wireless is out with the W1 chip for easy switching between compatible apple devices

  • Very good deal😀
