Karcher's K5 model is a 2100 PSI electric pressure cleaner.
It is the 2nd best electric model they make, being the baby brother to the K6 - but it has lesser, cheaper siblings in the K2, K3 and K4.

It comes in various bundled packages with various accessories.

2 of the K5 model bundles have today been deleted from Bunnings product lines - in other words, Bunnings won't be ordering those bundles in again and whatever stock they have in store are their last ones.

The 2 bundles are the:

Karcher K5 + car kit - now $295, was $589
Barcode = 4054278090498

Karcher K5 + car kit + home kit - now $345, was $689
Barcode = 6270702 (that looks wrong but is what it says on my receipt)

If you want to get these discontinued models at these prices be quick because stock will not last long.

Deleted line pricing reductions are at the discretion of the store manager, and the items may still scan at full price at your Bunnings.
If they do, politely ask for the price reduction. If your Bunnings is a good one like Taylors Beach is - if you show them the photo at this price, they'll honour it once they see it is a deleted line. They can always call Taylors Beach store to confirm the pricing.
Hell you might even get them cheaper if your store really wants to dump stock.

I had decided to buy a Gerni, and was about to, but at this price you can't get a Gerni with anywhere near the same specs or accessories.
I hope I don't regret going for the Karcher.

Gerni have a instore replacement guarantee whereas after 1 month, Karcher will not replace, only repair. Hopefully I won't need to claim but if I do, I'll wish I got the Gerni instead.

If you want one of these K5 bundles, my advice is this:
* goto your Bunnings at store opening time tomorrow (7am here)
* Find the bundle you want, put it in your trolley
* Scan the bundle at the checkout, if its already at my price or below, buy it
* If it scans at a higher price, explain its a discontinued line and show the photo. If your store is good, they'll match it.

      Yeah agree those reviews aren't great.

      Bear in mind they update the products every year but keep the K5 moniker. Often the updates are minor, but they sometimes address issues in older revisions. A lot of those reviews from 2013-2015 may be for a slightly older revision of the K5.

      I don't know if they've fixed any of those faults or not, I guess I'll find out soon enough if these reviews are legit.

      Concerningly 2 are from 2016 and the lack of a positive review is a worry.

      5 year warranty but it will be a pain in the ass if its as bad as these reviews say. Anyway at this price I figured it was worth the gamble - I'm feeling lucky!

      The PR website is massively disproportionate - usually about 90% of reviews of most products are negative.

      Why? Because those 90% are from the pool of 2-10% of buyers who experienced an issue and then googled the product and stumbled across the PR website.

      Very few of the 90-98% of happy buyers bother to search the interwebs for places to post positive reviews.

    There's one at Tuggeranong ACT priced at $480, asked the supervisor to price match got a no out of him and accusation of the photo's authenticity.

    have owned previous models in this range and hard to beat at this price but but over prices at rrp ….. good value if you are into karcher ecosystem for accessories and fittings. the problem is the aluminium pump and it corrodes, and even with new seals and valves they don't last as long as a new unit.

    not sure what the cheapest brass pump karhcer or gerni is.

    forget the entry level karhcers …. plastic pumps to " stop corrosion" but they break down and part costs make then a throw away item.

    currently have a still pressure washer ….. good for $250 but not as good as the k5 if you get one at the bunnings discount price.

    I spoke to a store which has a unit in stock but asked me $589 for it. Looks like "LOWEST PRICES ARE JUST THE BEGINNING" quote is only for marketing purposes. I don't understand if it's a deleted item and if they are not going to order them again why can't they be just nice as the Taylors Beach store manager? It's unaustralian mate! lol 😁

    Thank you OP! I've found one Premium (w/ the home kit that is) advertised for $599, when I showed the picture super friendly staff lady matched the price without hesitation. Thumps up for Rocklea Bunnings! I got the last premium but there were still a few other ones left. Thanks heaps GreatWhiteHunter!!!

    Just bought K5 Premium from Sunshine for $345. Store manager needed some convincing and took a long hard look at the photo, but was very pleasant and eventually agreed. One left, but may be demo. One demo left at West Footscray for $569, which I passed.

      Stocks are thinning.

      There is 1 premium left at Taylors Beach - its open box though - I'd check the contents carefully as you dont want to find it's missing something…
