        @tonyjzx: my friend has one, it's actually a very good phone, he has not a screen protector nor case, uses it every where for a year, no obvious scratches. surprisingly fast, he's happy…

        Yeah apparently the glass Xiaomi uses on their phones are as good as gorilla glass. This is how the lower tier Redmi 3 performed in scratch test.

    I have a mi4c. My screen did pick up a light scratch from who knows what….I now have a tempered glass screen protector and it's fine. Fits perfectly.

    I got the 32gb version which has been good. I think 16gb may be a bit restrictive…

    Design is great, very much lighter than other typical phones these days. The plastic build is actually very solid. Feels much better than my old Galaxy S3 plastic back.

    No NFC is ok, no android pay but that suits me fine

      The biggest issue initially was the lack of an international rom…it did come with a multi-language rom from xiaomi.eu (???) which does work fine for me. Don't think the rom support is that great in terms of cyanogen but I haven't checked lately…

  So it's pretty much a slightly smaller Nexus 5X, without NFC and without fingerprint reader but $100 less? Then there's also LG vs. Xiaomi's build quality — both have faults.
