First impression to the photo““““““`I thought it is a smartphone“““` anyone else agree? Lol“`

    • Yes…. I was like wtf ok sounds like a good deal, looks like a.. cool…. phone?! Never heard of it!!

      .. then I realised.

The thumbnail looks like a phone made by dell with a camera at the top left corner…:)

  • I don't think the 4% Cashrewards cash back applies to ebay.

    • Yeah think your right my mistake, removed it..

There is the 1.25% cashback though.

I think the Aldi gaming PC is more value than this…

1070 is much better than 960, esp since its only a 2gb version.

    • It probably is better value, but this is a great deal cheaper so not much of a comparison. Plus this has USB C port, and Dell is better quality than Medion.

Having said that, I probably wouldn't feel great paying this much for a desktop with a GTX960.

    • Wouldn't the $400 difference make up for the graphics card, could always upgrade it with the price difference

      • 1070 is not $400 tho?

        • Resell 960 card + $400 difference if you really want the dell over Aldi, comes down to what you need in the end better graphics card go the Aldi +$400 or if the dell is enough for what one needs save $400 but accept average graphics card

  • Although overpriced, still a better deal than the Aldi Medion one.

  • Here's a similar system from PCCG.

I had to use the slightly more expensive (but much faster!) RX 470 4GB because the GTX 960 2GB card is no longer sold. I also had to pick a slightly more premium motherboard to ensure it had a M.2 slot, but this is actually a wasted expense and you could easily save $50 bucks going with a cheaper B150 mobo, for instance.

If you look at it from a hardware noobs point of view, this Dell might not be a bad value proposition, as you can just click and order and a brand new desktop arrives at your doorstep.

The choice of a Core i7 and GTX 960 just… doesn't make sense for gaming. Games don't benefit from a 4-core, 8-thread Core i7 and will even run slower when you turn on HyperThreading, so if downgrades were an option you could save another hundred dollars by dropping down to a core i5 6500 with virtually no performance loss.
And the 2GB video card is simply too crippled to handle most modern titles, except for your usual E-sports competitive games like DOTA, SC, or Overwatch.

  • As many people have said this is NOT a gaming machine. The 960 can handle some simple-ish stuff. For a $2k gaming machine you get an i5, 8gb of ram, a cheaper mobo, and dump as much as you can into the gpu.

This would make for a moderate audio/video processing box due to CPU performance.

  • XPS used to be quite high. Now it's reserved for their Alienware systems only.
