Mirror's Edge is a pet project for DICE. And EA lets them do it because they make so much money from Battlefield. I don't think EA cares if Mirror's Edge loses money, so long as it keeps DICE happy and they keep making Battlefield.
Supposedly 'coming soon' to PC Origin Access as well (along with SW: Battlefront and NFS: Most Wanted). No date though.
Yeah Battlefront is on its way to the vault on XB1 as well :) didn't know about most wanted, though they've been teasing Need for Speed pics on fb for a while

Is it really free to play if a subscription is required? That's like saying all of netflix is free to watch, if you pay for it with a subscription.

I am sure its just me and my little quirks. But I mean to me free to play is just that, free to play. Like any mmo with a subscription does not fall under free to play, its pay to play. So technically this is too. Eh just ignore me :)

Well actually I bought a copy of Battlefield 1 from a user and he threw in a month of EA Access, but it was already a great price so it was a nice bonus! Haven't activated it yet, I'll wait for when I'm done with my current games.
Mirror's Edge Catalyst was good, but not great. Gameplay is improved. Parkour is improved. Fluidity is great. Open world is great. But story is weaker. Characters are underdeveloped. Ending is anti-climactic.
It's like they weren't really finished but the manager said "f**k it, just ship what we've done so far".
I don't regret playing it. But wished there was more.

You might be able to buy Xbox gift cards (say a $50 one), and use that to buy EA Access digitally
