Hi, got this email today that this mobile scanner app is free on 2nd Nov (US) time i think because it's still free on the store, for windows phone users only.

Its not office lens but it can recognise text from photos (from printouts from testing the app and not my ugly handwriting)

As stated from my email

Edit: There is a free version as well in the app store. Not sure what the difference is atm.

Edit 2: Free version has ads and less functionality. That's about it.

  Realistically there's plenty of free alternatives that are arguably better too.

    Was thinking the same thing but not sure if office lens actually captures the text, rather just scans and PDFs the documents.

    I could be wrong though
