EzySim operates on the Vodafone 5G/4G network

Nah thanks
I don't understand y so many upvotes
Voda suck?
Vodafone 4g as per their CIS
I can't find in the CIS that it explicitly says it's 4G.
The "Coverage" info does however lead to a broken 404 page - https://ezysim.com.au/network-coverage/ which doesn't help.
Otherwise, I interpret that it does both 4G/5G when checking https://ezysim.com.au/area-coverage/
It's mentioned Vodafone 4g specifically here.
https://ezysim.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Critical-Su…@bobinv: Ahh yeah thanks for that I found the wording after another take. I was looking at the same CIS, but missed it originally!
The service provided is EzySim giving access to Vodafone 4G coverage. To use the
service, you must first order and activate an EzySim Mobile SIM card which will enable
you to make and receive domestic voice calls, SMS, MMS and provide access to data
services. The service is provided by Vodafone Hutchinson Australia Pty Ltd.
Vodafone
Yes, many people are happy with Vodafone Network in their areas of usage. YMMV.
Keep in mind you can also get from Kogan Mobile now 360gb for $179 on sale, esim or sim.

Vodafone
I thought Vodafone and Optus now share their towers so coverage will be exactly the same? But I might have been mistaken
Only in Rural and Regional areas.
Optus and Vodafone(TPG) have a regional network sharing agreement. So in the sticks mobile yes it is the same between them as of early this year. Does not apply to metro areas/cities. Basically Optus brought the towers to the deal, Vodafone brought additional spectrum to use on them.
Honestly it should be regulated they all share regionally but we are a backwards arse country that rarely applies common sense to problems.
Haha, their common sense is to make more profits, but yeah, that's what regulations are for if they truly work
for the people instead of the corporations.
@ozhunter68: Telstra has always been the biggest opponent, naturally. Big boys never wanting real competition. Nothing to do with the countless hundreds of millions of tax payer money they have gotten for things like USO, mobile blackspot programs etc. where we as tax payers basically prop up their huge competitive advantage.
Optus is/was almost as bad, not wanting anything to change then only doing this regional network sharing agreement with Vodafone/TPG when Telstra decided they would do it (and in turn screw Optus). Regulator rejected it because Telstra would gain advantage (hard to measure given their overwhelming baseline advantage, but never the less.. the irony). What do you know, magically all of a sudden Optus were keen to do it.
We win in the end, but what a huge waste of time and $ to get there.
Never go9d experience with Vodafone, i would rank as worset
Try 000 on Optus and see how you go
Network quality depends on location for any network. Many people are satisfied with Vodafone
I'm getting a good experience here on Kogan Mobile (Vodafone 4G network) in Rockhampton QLD and this is a regional city location. Can go any where around the city and not lose signal. All the Vodafone MVNo get the same Vodafone experience as far as I know.
My experience with Lebara (Voda) in Canberra, ACT has been totally different on four different accounts, four different handsets. It could be worse I guess but its up there, pretty close. Calls that dont ring, text messages that never arrive and signal that disappears in common city locations.
Any expiry dates?
Trying to find when is the activation date, can't seem to find it.
Thank you! you are the best!
how long after purchase do we need to activate?
Is that esim option only?
After you choose "buy now", you can select between physical sim or esim. Physical sim is an extra $10.
Maybe do yourself a favour if you need a physical Sim, put the 10 bucks towards an esim adapter from AliExpress for 15 bucks and you can have as many esims on there as you like and still transport them from phone to phone
Had no idea this was a thing. Thanks for sharing!
I didn't either until someone mentioned it the other day, but it's a killer for the best of both worlds, you get the immediacy if an esim with the additional convenience of being able to just take it out and put it in a different phone
yeah but don't you need some sketchy app for that?
Wow… thanks!
I'm not familiar with this crowd - what's the consensus on whether they are any good?
Network is Vodafone as mentioned, they are a bit meh to deal with, but not the worst
My 2¢ worth….
Their web site is a shocker, especially when it comes to spelling, grammar and information consistency. I'm up to my seventh service with them now, but it's cost me very little. They have a referral system where you earn rewards points. Those points can be used to buy vouchers, but it seems that you can only use them to buy new starter packs, not recharge an existing service. So that's what I've been doing, using EzySim as a secondary service in my dual-SIM phone, for those rare occasions where there's either no Telstra coverage (using my Boost SIM) but there is Vodafone coverage, or both have coverage, but Telstra is heavily congested. After several referrals I'm now at the "Silver" level, but I have no idea what difference that makes. Everything still looks the same to me.
Sometimes when I've gone to activate a new service the starter pack has been registered with the wrong value and it asks for an additional payment. When that's happened I've used their live chat (it's always been "Mumina") to get it sorted out.
You're supposed to be able to text 'BAL' to 126101 to get your balance, but it hasn't worked on most of my EzySim services. Calling 126101 does work, however.
They have an app, but it's a PITA to use, as you have to enter your username and password every time you open it, and then go through a 2FA process.
I only bother because it's been almost free. :)
used it on my samsung LTE watch for 2 months, no issues.
Anyone know whether this would work on the Pixel Watch 4 LTE?
you need to do some mods using APKs. but yes
Why is that?
Everyone craps on Vodafone but I use Felix with Vodafone and it’s 99% perfect in metro Perth. I was with Telstra in metro Perth for years and it can be very rough at times especially in busy shopping centres like Karrinyup and in apartments and even local shopping centres. I find voda especially excellent for indoor coverage.
I'm with Telstra and it didn't work initially when Karrinyup shopping centre first expanded several years ago. Telstra works fine now at Karrinyup shopping centre and has been for a while. Telstra is fine with the shops I've been to. I haven't been inside apartments recently but Telstra used to work before in East Perth apartments.
There are other metro locations in Perth that only Telstra and Boost would work. There is no reception with Optus (including Amaysim) or Vodafone network inside the house. I have visited friends there and they only use Telstra.
Yeah no issues with Vodafone in perth and rural is much better since network sharing so no loss
They are essentially the same as Optus. They each share others regional towers now.
Wish there was a cashback from sb or tcb
How to buy the sim? Any email address I use to register they say has been blocked due to spam.
Seems decent enough. For anyone who is interested the lyca deal is available from 01.10.2025 to 13.11.2025.
Looks like I will have to find a cheaper alternative to Kogan by Christmas
Read previous deal comments to know how bad Lycamobile is
i'm only comparing it from a dollar value point of view, I don't use either networks but considering getting Lycamobile due to its cheap cost.
I could say the same thing about Amaysim, I had a horrible experience with them, but people have different experiences.
YMMV
Waiting for black friday deal
I would choose this deal over Lyca if still available come December and no other cheaper deals exist
5g or not?
Only 4G, not 5G. (I've got a SIM on this plan.)
Appears to be Vodafone 4G and 5G supported coverage. Also, same plan with physical sim is $109
Nope, only 4G. (See above.)
Has anyone ported to this provider before? Any issues?
You need to reply by SMS to the verification code you'll be sent as part of the porting process. My recent experiences are that an Amaysim service with no credit let me reply, but a Telstra service with no credit wouldn't. In that case, I used 5¢ SMS as a workaround. (You can create a trial account that'll let you send a few messages for free.)
Just ported and all worked out fine for esim. Thanks OP!
Can this be used on an iPad? Just wondering with the requirement for two factor authentication whenever you want to login. Sometimes iPads won’t receive text messages.
2FA code to email is also an option.
Purchased last week tried to activate and won’t accept my drivers licence, emailed support , zero response in 3 days
I couldn't use my driver's licence to activate my latest EzySim service because I renewed my licence recently and haven't yet received the replacement (with a new card number) in the mail. I used my Medicare card instead, and that worked, so maybe give that a try. Failing that, try Live Chat.
$109 when I add to cart?
With these 12 month plans, they still force you to recharge every 120 days? Is there anyway around this?
3.3 Where You do not recharge for a continuous period of 120 days following Your activation (for SIM’s with preloaded credit) or last recharge of the services; or 60 days following activation of SIM’s with preloaded plans the Agreement will terminate automatically and shall be deemed to be terminated by You.
I think whoever wrote that was channelling DJT at the time. In another thread a while back, a few of us tried to work out how long you could keep receiving calls and text messages for, if you didn't recharge after the initial 30, 365, or however many days were up. My observations were inconsistent. IIRC, my most recent EzySim service to be killed off lasted for 108 days past the initial 30 days before incoming calls were greeted with, "The number you have called has incoming call restrictions". About ten days later it was killed off completely.
Does anyone know if I purchase the eSIM now, how long I can wait for activation?
Can anyone share their experience with EZY? A while ago I helped a friend to set up for her mum. Apparently they were awful, porting didn’t work. They wouldn’t answer the phone and final they refunded her only one they were threatened she would go to the Tio.
The Vodafone CEO has allegedly been up to some shenanigans that's blowing up on Reddit right now. If proven true, I won't ever be using their network.
Elaborate???
I won't repeat the accusations here because I'm sure it involves lawyers. A lot of the post have been taken down because of said legal issues but if you search Reddit in the vodafail thread over the past few days you'll get an idea.
Lyca has 17GB per month for $110 (12x monthly recharges) which is a total of 200GB for the year at the moment
https://www.lycamobile.com.au/en/bundles/sim-only-plans/#lon…
Combine with $10 with topcashback, seems to be better deal.
I guess safe to be with some known providers if you considering transfer your main mobile number. Not worth risking
I've used Ezysim quite a few times in the past (ported in and out), zero issues. Customer service is responsive via live chat too.
On the other hand, I've heard negative things about porting in to Lyca. Anyway, I'm about to do that in a few days time from now so we shall see how it goes.
I don't see it on topcashback. Are you sure?
can anyone confirm if you can receive sms while overseas without activating roaming? i.e. south east asia
Looks like a good deal, but my plan doesnt expire til May. bugger
What's alternative option if the data is exhausted, can we purchase another telecom provider and move on immediately (instead of buying data pack from same provider)?
I am currently with physical sim. Can I get an eSim one like this and port my number?
Which network?
