Found this whilst looking at TGG site (appears not to be available on their ebay site though) plus only seems to be one colour - Deep Blue

Their site info:

* Unique BrushRollClean
* 2 in 1 vacuum cleaner
* Effortless cleaning and easy to use

In a past post a comparison of Dyson V6 and this was done by d3ft

      I bought one from Costco and ended up returning it after around 4 months the vacuum could not suck anymore. It was good while it lasted

      • I think these are series 3 or 4.
        Not sure how much has changed but I just threw out my series 1 and my parents series 2. We have upgraded to the V6 Dyson handvacs and notice a big dig fence in suction power.

    • Got a similar 18v unit in TGG sale 2-1/2 year ago for $269 and is still working. I did consider a Dyson at the time but I wasn't prepared to pay nearly double the price. Also, this can stand on its own and the charger does not require wall-mounting. I'd say at $200 it's a bit of a bargain. My advice is not to leave it on permanent charge and to avoid draining the battery completely when in use.

      EDIT: Just noticed that this comes with more accessories which makes it a really good bargain.

  • Dyson vacuums get so much attention its hard to find a good impressions about other stick vacuums. Surely there are cheaper alternatives that are just as good as Dyson.

      Everyone is always so much 'Dyson' this and that, but I agree with you bangmango. I assume they are similar to the likes of hoover's that godfrey's sell from their current sale?

    Got the red one in the eBay 20% sale recently. Similar but red has a few more tools but not the pet tool.
    Loving it. Have a big Dyson which really sucks in a good way but am using the Electrolux most of the time as it's just so handy either handheld or in the standup mode.

    • Good to have an actual comparison!

    • Yes good to have a comparison, but the comparison here is between a full size Dyson ball/barrel vs Electrolux Stick

        I was only referring to this comment compared to the V6 which is another stick not a full size (as I can give that personal experience)

    We bought this exact same rapido 2 years ago from the good guys. What a piece of crap. You could not use it on carpet or rugs, it just lacks the power. The mechanism would jam up if anything over the size of dust got in it. The unit packed it in after 9 months so we upgraded to a Dyson DC35. The dyson is a much better unit with linger battery life. The only similarity between the units is they are both cordless, I wouldnt consider the rapido a vacuum at all, just a noise maker. We have both a DC35 and dyson barrell vacuum, cannot remember the model but it is about 7 years old. The barrell vacuum is much better but not as easy to move around. That said our best vacuum is the Shopvac that I use in the garage which cost $50.

    Do not but this heap of junk.

    • Thanks for the info Expon. I guess its like anything as http://www.productreview.com.au/p/dyson-dc35.html shows there are people that arent happy with it.. I have upright DC55 and its great, but for me personally I want a more portable in hard to get places like under beds, in car (2 piece stick's) as its a pain with the 55 to remove the stick to use, otherwise its reasonably good..

        My wife loves the dc35 for use around the table and beds, like you say. She did not like the rapido. I prefer the power of mains vacuums. If I cant take the gloss off the floor, it's not strong enough.

  • Rubber wheels fell apart after 5 months. They sent replacement wheels under warranty. Crap.

  • Rubbish, we bought one a year ago and it's just useless, doesn't pick up dirt, just moves it 50 cm down the floor. Joke vacuum .. :-( .. !!
