ITESTATE has the 1.5T version for $119, which I think is a better choice over this one.

    • This is Samsung new model and you said is not samsung brand. And do they cover 3 years warranty ?

      • I bought mine from itestate 2 weeks ago. exactly the same look and yes 3 yr warranty.

        http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_product_detail.…

model quoted on your link is HX-DU010EC/CB2. model number of itestate's HDD is HX-U015EC/CB2.

        edit: model numbers added.

      • The one at ITESTATE is the same as this one except it has an extra 500GB of space, and for Sydney people is only $7.10 more.

A 1TB external can be had cheaper hence not a deal in my books.

Not a bargain in my book. Even Officeworks has a WD 1TB 3.5" USB external drive for $94 + $4.95 handling fee.

Brand is irrelevant for a USB-only drive, the USB interface is the limiting factor in the speed rather than any aspect of the drive in the case.

  • not a bargain. WD 1TB pickup price is less from OW (excluding delivery)'

1TB WD drives are $9x every where these days so no shipping costs, I also saw Seagate ones somewhere for under 100 as well. And both WD and Seagate are better quality than Samsung.

I was agreeing with you until I read your last sentence.

That's completely wrong on every level.
