Yeah did see that but I could only see 2 stores in Aus with stock unless I checked wrong :)

oops you are right. My bad. It stupidly allows you to select the store and gives a green tick as well. =/

      • I got the 2nd last one in Palmerston, It's a display keyboard which make it even better as I can ask for lower price which turned out to be $30 (Theres no USB cable, red keyboard key & key puller)

        Cheers lawyerz and Trent =)

  • Can anyone comment on the Logitech Multimedia Speakers Z150? Seem decent enough for the price, but are they so cheap for a reason?

  • I'm hovering over the G610 buy button during the last TGG sale, and I'm hovering over it again now… I've read reviews, watch the videos.. Can someone tell me if a mechanical keyboard is worth it? =/

    • I bought it on TGG sale for more than this. It is a luxury item. Very heavy. Beautiful to use. No regrets. If you need to choose between this and food, go with food.

    • The thing that turned me off with this keyboard is no "click" feeling/sound because of the keys that are used. I primarily want that for gaming though.

Other than that it seems like a good recommedation for people that want a small (though not TKL) mechanical keyboard but do note that it has no dedicated macro keys at all.

    • What do you need it for?

Some people buy these keyboards for gaming, because it supposedly offers better performance (a little). Other people like the tactile feel - the clickyness, the spring back of the keys.

To me it really does feel better. So much so that when I go to work and use the normal keyboards there, they feel pretty ordinary.

FYI: I bought mine (Asus strix tactic pro) with the same Cherry MX Brown switches on offer with this Logitech 610. I will probably buy another Mechanical keyboard for my wife's PC.

      • For typing, for gaming. I'm not buying it for to increase my 'performance' of gaming or anything like that.. just for the typing experience. I have used cheap membrane keyboards all my life and never once thought gee, I wish I had a better keyboard… but just about everyone I know and even online says it's just a much nicer experience to use.. =/

What I did was go to a local computer store and play with the different keyboards they had there. I ended up paying $10 more for it than what I could have bought it for online, but given that they were pretty good and patient about me standing in store playing with 5 different keyboards, I had to do it! Not very Ozbargain of me I know!!!

You probably don't have that option given that this deal may get Ozbargained soon. Bear in mind that the best feeling switches (Cherry MX Blue) are very clicky but also Loud. I compromised and bought the brown switches (Which is what in on offer with that Logitech 610).

I have to admit to feeling quite underwhelmed when I brought my keyboard home. I was like "meh…is that it?" But now, like I said earlier, when I use those soft spongy keyboards at work, I'm like: "this sucks"!!!

I will probably buy another Brown switch keyboard for my wife in the coming months. But I want to buy her one with a wrist rest, hence I am passing on this deal.

          Good luck in your decision.

        • @Kinjiru: Thanks mate, I ended up getting one. Brown one. I didnt like the fact it was wired but it'll do for my desktop… If I like it I may end up getting another one for work >.< *what have I gotten myself into haha

        • @lawyerz: Enjoy! :)

@lawyerz: FWIW, I bought one to use at work for typing only and it's been phenomenal. One of the guys I work with bought one soon after I did after using mine one day. You'll love it

  • PSA: I believe the Xbox 360 Shaped Spartan Controller for PC is DirectInput based & it has a lot of negative reviews. My friend brought it for GTA V PC at full price & didn't work.

may give it a go. it did show the 3 stores around mine are not available.

  • $4 speakers have bad reviews from Amazon. Picks up electronic noise from the PC, mouse, optical drive, etc.

  • Is the G610 keyboard good value?
