@17833: If I guessed, T&C's would be the same. Meaning no Gift Cards. When they scan, they wouldn't be recognised by the payment system as being part of the $100+ spend. :( Good sleuthing though, thanks!

Koo is amazing! They are often on sale too. From memory i think they had 40% off Koo during one of the voucher promotions so it made for a great discount on some quality sheets :)

My wife wanted some new sheets, so put Foo 1000Thread count & colour selected in shop basket for $139. Thought will wait for today to use $40 off code. When she logged in this morning, Spotlight had raised the cost of that item to $229 ( + $90 on yesterdays cost !! )
So with $40 discount came back to $189. What a bloddy RIP OFF. Goodbye SPOTLIGHT for these shifty moves.They do this all the time.Do your homework as they often discount for one promotion and then it ends the day before something like the $40 off one commences and you could be worse off. You have to spend $100 to get $40 off. So don't buy things for the sake of getting the discount because Spotlight do have some trashy stuff.
Fairly sure the $40 voucher came out at the time of the new catalogue hence new catalogue sales.
That's like getting annoyed at woolies for having a sale on an item you want then offering a $10 off $100 spend code in the next catalouge and being annoyed the item isn't on sale anymore when the voucher comes out.
Do your research, find out when sales end and you wouldn't have that problem. You only have yourself to blame.
Missus walked into Watergarden's (Melb) store with a VIP card, told she needed a voucher too. Said she hasn't recieved anythoing from Spotlight for awhile , but staff weren't interested. No code, No discount.

This voucher is on the front of their latest catalogue, so let her know she can just grab a Spotlight catalogue from the front of the store (where they usually are, I think?) and use the voucher on it.
The catalogue I got from the front of the store did not have the discount coupon attached, ended up walking out empty handed.
They did the same thing to me at the Box Hill (VIC) store but I countered that I'd taken down the coupon code and could they please try it. The manager got involved and said if it worked fine and of course it did work.
I've just signed up as a VIP online,so haven't got a physical card yet. Can I avail this discount in store?

Coupon was only attached to the catalogue that was delivered to VIP members.

They sent around an email with the PDF coupon but i am a rookie and don't know how to post :/ hopefully someone a bit more tech savvy can post the PDF here or you could always email customer service and ask them they won't care :)
The email barcode seems different to the op's one. Not sure if it is unique. Mine ends in 5777.
Mine does too :) they sometimes hand these out in store so they are definitely not unique but it is odd that the one in the catalouge is different to the emailed one…
If its not unique here is the link to the pdf so others can use. I didn't get the catalogue so I don't have a pic of the other barcode.

btw if you sign up for their VIP club (for free) you get at least a few of these same offers a year sometimes it's different offers like 40% off a single item or a scratchie card with varying discounts but this one is the best and most flexible.
Both my wife and her mum get one in the catalogue mailout and go together and buy clearance fabric/wool and half price stuff, then get an extra $40 for every $100 they spend! Works out to be about ~70% off or so. it's their addiction and I was made to sign up to get more coupons/discounts ;)

is spotlight closing down or something, seems like there's a sale there every week. I was going to buy blinds and watched their pricing ranged from 30% / 40% / 50% and was hoping it would be 60% next but then these bonus offers popped up to spend more money there.
so essentially 40% off? Or spend $100 and get $40 to spend another time?
