    Sorry slippery fish, no such luck. DDR3 has gone from mainstream to niche with DDR4 now being pretty much the only thing modern boards support and distributors want to carry. As with most niche products, stock is scarce and prices are high. I wouldn't expect to see any more clearance deals on DDR3 now that supply / demand equilibrium has leveled out again.

  This is a really strange combo, a what can be considered a low end MB with a medium+ range GPU. A i3 CPU will probably bottleneck the GPU in some games.
