V1
thx!
What’s the difference between v1 and upgrade?
v1 does not have the high performance vapor chamber. The old card had the vapor chamber.
wait, the old card is the upgrade?
@Pusheencat: Yes. The original has the vapor chamber and better fan or something, although the Vapor chamber is the only change listed on official documents.
@Daffan: From what I read the older original card had 8 heat pipes and the new v1 has 6 heat pipes. Seems to be a downgrade to keep their costs down.
Downgrade version. But still a good price!
Dang, these things are now better value than most the rx9070xt's…
Objectively false statement
Depending on the use case. Not completely fasle. If RT is your cup of tea, DLSS4+RT, these cards are winners.
@John Doh: That is correct. But there was a time when 5070tis were nearly 20% more expensive. RT+DLSS was probably the only thing 20% better, cause raster was largely the same.
But 20% more just for RT+DLSS seems excessive.
But at this price, it's a no brainer compared to a 9070xt
Depending on the use case. If you did anything with pytorch or gen AI this can range from being about 800% better to infinity times better as a lot of AMD libraries are still broken/incomplete.
That said, the 5070 TI was never the "value" pick or even just a "notable" pick at any point for AI tasks. But I guess it coooooould make sense if you mainly gamed and did like 20% AI. Now it's much better value though.
Probably due to ebay sale.
The non-V1 model apparently has better cooling (vapour chamber) which the V1 model lacks, it's the same price with the coupon here: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/127087370632?siteid=15&customid&…
spec comparison: https://www.palit.com/palit/comparison.php?lang=en
Also the gamerock model line would be a step up and has been around this price before.
Your link leads to Gaming Pro V1.
Yep while it doesn't have it in the title it does in the description which i found super sneaky.
Be careful though, the product code in the description matches the V1, so does the pictures.
NE7507T019T2-GB2031Y (The Y is the V1)
A local retailer store (can't remember name, one of the big PC ones) also did the same mistake.
I have this card, don't be out off by the lack of a vapour chamber, the cooler is still more than capable of keeping the temps at a reasonable level. Gaming temps for me top out around 65C, sure you may get a few degrees less with a higher end cooler but it's not like this V1 version is close to thermal throttling or anything like that.
Is it the V1 or upgrade version?
