Was taking a look around at prices for the new Lego Dimensions packs released today, to find a better price to match at EB Games, when I stumbled across these ridiculous prices at the official Lego Shop.

The personal highlight for me is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Level Pack for $15.99 ($79.95 at EB Games) and the accompanying Tina Goldstein Fun Pack for $6.99 ($24.95 at EB Games)

Only downside is shipping is slow and starts at $30, but that can easily be made up for in savings.

      If you can't cancel, keep the receipts. Return them to EB later.

        I might buy them from EB and order these. Then the order is confirmed and posted (likely in the next week) I'll return the preorder to EB. There's every chance this is a pricing error and they wont send anything. So may as well cover my bets. The return credit can go into the March release.

        Edit: Besides, I need to return one of my chips to EB from the last release. It's never worked and want to swap it over.

      Not really when you consider it's coming from Europe, and (depending on qualifying conditions) there's always a freebie offer going which is usually only available by purchasing direct from LEGO which usually makes them quite valuable if you wanted to sell it to recover postage costs, and also there's free shipping for orders over $200.

    Make sure to use a 28 Degrees card or other card that doesn't charge international transaction fees.
    Otherwise, you'll get hit with a 3% fee. Although you get charged in AUD, the transaction is processed in Denmark.

      Good reminder! I also suspected there could be an international transaction fee when I made my first order the other day so I decided to put the transaction on my Bankwest mastercard instead of ANZ VISA.. Looks like it's a good decision from what you saying!

      It's by far the best of the "toys to life" bunch. Like the standard LEGO games, but with all the characters available able to be mashed up - so you could have Sonic the Hedgehog driving the Batmobile in a Ghostbusters level, just as one example.

      Plus you can add all the bits to a LEGO collection if the novelty ever wears off. :)

        I ordered on 16 Nov'16. But during that time, E.T, Tina, Sonic, Gremlins, and Fantastic Beast sets were not available for purchase yet (released on 18 Nov'16). I just pulled the trigger and gave a try.
        The first person who reported about these price is Jay's Brick Blog Facebook and followed by Bricking Around.
        A few people already got their shipping confirmation email yesterday :)

        That's not a problem at all. First you log in, add what you want to the cart, close the window and then you click through Topcashback. After you are redirected to the Lego website, a pop up box will appear asking whether you want to change your region to USA, just ignore it and click on your cart to finalise your payment. All my orders were tracked, and even though the amount was converted to USD at a very poor exchange rate, something is still better than nothing!

      I did that plus I just grab 1 set of Wall-E (cheaper than most part of the world on S@H in Australia) to make up to $200, it's one of the sets that is forecast to hold up its value pretty well post retirement at the end of this year / early next year (all speculation of course). The set is already sold out in USA and Canada.

      Apparently that's just the label creation for you order.
      From what I understand they ship out a bulk of orders together from Denmark to Australia, and then they are separated into individual orders in Australia
      So while it says it is in Alexandria, it is actually still on its way from Denmark.
