Have one of these, whilst i haven't done extensive testing on it, kodi works well even with 4k content.. Very happy with it for the price

I have no personal experience with this actual box but beelink have a great reputation of releasing OTA updates for their products long after they have been released…. A lot to be said for lots of other lesser known android boxes.

The people on the Kodi forums tend to recommend against S912 boxes. I also recommend against Gearbest! If it were me, I'd pick up a Beelink MXIII (the original S905 version- not the MXIII II) from ebay. I saw them there just a few days ago. That unit seems to have the best support for LibreElec builds.

  • What sort of things can I do with this?

  • Not much different from MiniMXIII which I bought from Gearbest for 58$ last Friday with priority shipping. They decided to send via DHL, Got delivered within 1 working day…quite impressive.

Used MontyMelb's promo code ”11tvbox11” to get the discounted price.

LibreElec works like a charm on this one.

    • Found this one on GearBest http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_446536.html similar price too for the next two days. Wonder if MontyMelb has any promo codes for this one too.

      • Go with the S902X (MiniMXIII II) if you intend to use your wifi connection as it has a Wireless ac. I went with the other one because I wanted to use Ethernet LAN and S902 (MiniMXIII) has Gigabit LAN.

Thanks everyone! I'll check out batrarobin's link code still works too.

I've set up a few of these ones now and I cannot fault them. Beelink Mini MX. If you are running LibreElec from a micro SD, make it a decent one, tried an old one lying around and it was slow and disappointing. Class 10 makes it smooth as. Thanks to jonathonsunshine in this thread for his info. Loving the Beelink!

  • S912 is only an issue if you are sideloading…

Use the android app and no issues

We have one of these and they work really well,
I prefer to use a keyboard as Netflix is designed to be touch screen which does not work the best with the remote.

Kodi just works :D (esp with the extras included)

I get OTAs about every 2 months

If you get the U.S plug you can tweak it to fit the aussie plug hole because the adaptors are crap
