  • "VR-ready" Can the 1060 in this config really drive those games? I'm guessing it would be a heat-magnet and may crash occasionally but are there any reviews to see if it really is capable with the VIVE etc.

    • The 1060 series are MUCH more efficient cards for VR. Like blows the previous 9 series out of the water. All whilst using less power and producing less heat. They will be able to VR fine, though obviously it's only the 1060 so you may have to adjust settings accordingly.

I've recently purchased one of the GS43VR and am very happy with it so far. The look and feel of the laptop is better than I expected. The performance is exactly what you'd expect based on the specs (go read some reviews on the 1060 gpu). Happy to report that the fan noice and heat generated are quite reasonable IMHO.
