      And also says this "If you violate any of these terms, the offer will be invalid." so those using it who it wasn't targeted to are in violation of the $5 USD credit terms.

      Meaning it's actually targeted. They might start to crack down on it if they see many customer accounts using it who weren't even sent the email or delivered the advertisement to.

      And also valid for those customers who have never signed into the mobile app before.

      Looks like the OP's link may be a personalised affiliate link that was delivered to the OP. I think that link was meant only for the OP that it was targeted to?. Just check the URL all those numbers and letters in it after ascsubtag=. They could track that the OP publicly gave away his personalised targeted link and then even crack down on the OP over it. It's an invitation only URL link.

      You're supposed to first sign in with a web browser through that URL link which the OP posted which engages the promotion on your account. Then download the app, open it and sign in with your account ID and password. Also the gift card isn't issued immediately it may take a week or more to get the email with the gift card.

        Yeah and also the gift card isn't being issued until 7-10 days later after the promotional period starts and you request it so you don't get it immediately.

        Any attempts to get it before the promo start is probably being invalid too. Probably forfeiting your chance of getting it too after the promo period starts since you can't do it after you've already signed in the app for the first time. I've already signed into the app before and i tried and it said i'm not eligible.

          Well actually it was in the terms and conditions which the OP posted in the description saying that the offer is valid from 21 November at 12:01am (Pacific time, which is western USA time). You never read terms and conditions i take it.

          Nope. PT (Pacific Time) is western USA (for example Los Angeles). I believe they in the thread title have converted Nov 21 12:01am PT into Australian AEDT which is Nov 21 at 7pm AEDT here in Australia. Or for those of us in Queensland going by AEST that would be 6pm.

    I notice it says this in the T&C.

    "Offer limited to one Gift Card per eligible Prime member account."

    So that clearly means the account that you're using to try claim one of these free gift card has to be an account with an active Prime membership on it. Too bad if you don't have Amazon Prime. I guess you peoples missed that.

    So it appears according to the T&C to be targeted towards Amazon Prime member accounts. I guess only those active Prime accounts will receive this. So Amazon Prime only promotion.
