Just found this while browsing for an SSD. Works out cheaper than through eBay with the current promo there and than any other stores here in Aus.

Ordered one for myself for game storage.

VAT removed at checkout.

Just delete some emails, worked for Hillary

      • Hillary wore the SSD out wiping it clean

  • international warranty?

    • To my knowledge based on a quick Google it is international warranty. Amazon is great with returns also if there's any issues.

      • well i wouldnt want to have to send it all the way back to germany. is why i asked.

        • An RMA can be requested directly to the manufacturer, and Sandisk have a RMA depot in Australia.

@fleetfeather: they have an RMA depot in Australia, yes, but whether they will accept an item purchased from an overseas vendor is another question.

i might be willing to take the risk given the even lower failure rates of SSDs but i'd like to have piece of mind.

cant find anything on google to suggest it is definitely intl warranty. but found a warranty table saying it's 3 years.

        • @insular: Sandisk warranty is supposedly valid for any items sold through approved "authorized channels". Given that this drive was sold on Amazon and Amazon is allowing shipment directly to Australia, Sandisk would have a tough time arguing that Amazon isn't an authorized channel of sale.

If you're really struggling, just email Sandisk support to confirm prior to purchase.

        • @insular:

I purchased my Ultra II from amazon US and it died 2 months later, when doing a warranty request it was fixed here in australia all they wanted was serial no I didn't even have to show proof of purchase. I went direct via sandisk for the warranty not amazon.

          Not sure about germany product

  • I have one for boot drive and got the 960GB for the steam overflow ….. great drive

    • damn you have a lot of steam games!

I get a delivery fee of 15.49, how are you getting no delivery fee?

    Items: EUR 167.23
    Packing & Shipping: EUR 15.49
    Total amount: EUR 182.72

    • +2

It is stated in the title that the product is $263 delivered. 182 Euros is roughly $263(AUD).

      • Thanks, I see that I interpreted it as €167.23 delivered, which is clearly wrong, as the delivered part is in the brackets with Aus price.

I purchased one years back from amazon.com contacted them and was told to ship it to a service department in NSW was exchange with newer model as it was a discontinue SSD.

    • sweet, hopefully this is still the case.

  • Thanks OP. This is the deal I've been waiting for.

  • can this be installed in a laptop?
an Asus ROG 17" G771J laptop to be precise.

    • +2

      Hey murphy84,
Nice laptop you have there. The SSD in this article is just a regular 2.5" (standard) type. You can easily install it into your laptop by following this guide: https://rog.asus.com/articles/g-series-gaming-laptops/g771-u…

      GLHF (:

      • thanks heaps for the advice. I will be getting this great deal now myself :)

  • Pair with the 10 eur off deal for MasterCard users to bring it down another ~$14! https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/276319

    MSY: $345

    • +2

Yup, so? I'd rather have the $80 difference in my pocket.

      • just checked on camelcamelcamel, the lowest was 179EUR just in september. so i think ill just wait for it to be that again. (and that would be minus the VAT on top as well)

      • +1

I was just pointing it out to show it's a good deal.

        • No problem, you just hadn't made that clear <3

  • Is there any international fee when paying with visa/mastercard without 28degrees?

    • Yes.

  • think it's gone up now

  • yep

  • So I missed out on this deal but this would also make a good boot drive no yes? I'm not a huge pc guy.
What would make a better boot drive? I'm still running mechanical drive

    • +1

Yes, any SSD will be a hell of a lot quicker than a mechanical drive for a boot drive.

  • Mine arrived today. Now to get it installed.

  • SSD suppose to arrive today but never arrive. Courier was I-Parcel so I contacted them, they got back to me and said they never received the item from Amazon.de, what to do next?

    • +1

I emailed amazon.de customer support and they said they will be shipping the item by 15th December latest. They also refunded me the shipping cost.

      • Thanks for the reply. Will do that then.
