    • Thanks for being transparent.

I believe the times in the screenshots are Chine Time Zone which means the watches went live at 11AM instead of 12PM and were sold out before 12PM. Someone in the sales team needs Math classes I guess.

      • +1

Alfawise - max coupon limit 2
        3 transactions?

    • +1

This doesn't explain why your coupon get used before 12 and you updated the item as sold out before officially release the coupon. If the screenshot says the order was placed at 7am why would you write 12 here in the post?

      • 7AM Beijing time is 10AM AEDT

        • +1

I know it but I also took screenshot of the post says clearly the deal won't start until 12. Check my previous replies. I don't mind not getting anything and I had no issue buying from GB in the past. I'm simply not happy about the fact item sold out before it even started. I'm sure there are heaps of complaints and disappointment here.

        • @allenhori: Yeah I know, they moved it to 10AM instead of 12PM.

        • +1

@rvsure: hope GB can handle this well as it did destroyed at least my trust.

        • @allenhori:

From what I could gather there was a human error with the time setting for the deal, the rep miscalculated the time difference, hence it was incorrect. Simple codes meant they could easily be guessed, and that's what happened. Could be wrong, but that's how it appears.

        • +1

@Shaw: understandable mistake when dealing with people who don't need to adjust time due to daylight saving twice a year.

It would make more sense it the deal started at 1pm though considering someone could have thought there are only 2 hours time difference so when it was 10am in China it would be 12pm EST but 1pm ESDT. 10am is just way off the charts. 7am or 8am Beijing time will never make it 12 here regardless of daylight saving.

Well, the deals are gone now, congrats to those who managed to grab a thing or two. Wish we could have more and more deals to celebrate ozbargain'a birthday every year.

        • @allenhori:

Yea, you have a good point, although there were also coupons for 10am today, which could explain the mix up.

Could do an unofficial event each year, I don't know if Scotty plans to run this again, it has been a lot of work to organise. Those OzBargain mods haven't seemed to have slept in over 2 weeks now!

        • @Shaw: I really appreciate everyone's effort organising this birthday celebration. Great to have all of you here.

  • STORE REP===Where is the list of quadcopters ??????????

  • +1

serious? it did it again! this time i didn't click on PayPal and it still stuffed up

    • +1

      Same here!!!

      PEBKAC

  • had the coupon working for the laptop but then failed after proceeding to checkout! :(

    • Likewise! :(

      • LOL WTF i just got an email confirmation from GB for the laptop when I didn't even proceed to the end!

        • +1

I got the same email. Go to your gearbest account, then 'my orders', it should show a cancel option on the right hand side of the order. Just click cancel and its done! :)

  • +1

hahahah this is a joke, I've managed to have the phone at $13 then within a sec clicked the order button, by the time it got to paypal price already went back up…

  • +13
    • good job!

    • Congrats

    • +5

Nice. I got the laptop :)

    • Only had "This coupon has reached its usage number limit", didn't even had the chance to checkout lol.

      GG WP !

    • congrats mate, how come I never saw this screen? I've clicked "place your order" but i got directed to paypal right away…

      • +2

Once I clicked "Place your order", I go to the "My Orders" and check if I was fast enough then I paid.

        • For me after I clicked "place your order", there is a spinning logo so I had to wait…then it just took me to paypal directly. Sounds like yours were different if you got taken to my orders straight away…

        • +1

@homersyd: No it's not different. I just leave the PayPal page and open a new tab to check the "My Order" page.

      • +2

If you've done it correctly you can exit that paypal screen and your order is still placed, awaiting payment in the my orders section.

        • so how can I exit the paypal screen straight away (without having to wait for paypal to load)?

        • +1

@homersyd: As above. New tab. In my experience loading that page confirms the order without you having to actually pay it. Check my orders before paying

        • @haydent: ok…thanks mate

    • My man!

  • +1

how is it a deal when there is 1 qty available.

  • This is funny mess, although Gearbest should have 20+ items even if the cost was higher.

  • is the $10 cable worth it?

    • I got one for $13 AUD, not sure if I just sent $13 down the drain or not. :/

  • Should be the cables at $1. That'll be a good deal and there's plenty for everyone

  • +1

Ah wonderful … also just paid full price for an item … had the voucher and just disappeared. What a stupid system.

Really sad to see that you give away so many things under cost and make great deals but the execution is that bad that it's not a positive experience (just for the few people who get it … and even they might think it's bad). Who is in charge of Marketing?

  • Missed out at the chance to grab a phone. Damn laptop decided to lose internet connection around 2 minutes before it went up. Looking at the next couple deals, there's not many more opportunities for a chance to grab a phone seeing the last two with phones only have 1 in quantity.

Any chance to get more phones added by any chance?

    • I'd definitely check back in the morning. Sunny (rep) has been awesome and doubled the list today

      • Lolz from 1 to 2…..

    • There is Day 3. Asus ZenFone
      1 available

      good luck! :)

  • -7

The price is increasing after applying code. not recommended

I messaged Sunny (Gearbest Rep) and had my postage charge refunded. Thanks!

    • Because we weren't supposed to get charged?
I had to pay postage for the quad, does this mean I should get that refunded?

  • I got a Zanflare LED torch!
Totally missed my chance to try for the robot vac, stupid work. :(

  • Emailed gearbest last night for a refund for overcharging, never got a reply and was apparently packed and posted today…What to do now?

    • I've pinged the rep about this and the comment below. Let me know what the outcome is. Cheers.

      • Hi Shaw,
Was given a partial refund through store credit.
        Thanks for the help!!

        • Sweet mate, glad it was sorted. Enjoy!

  • I have not yet heard back as well about a refund. I have emailed posted order number in here.

    Still no answer…………

  • Looks like they won here, over charged people to get money and never refund, I bet they send then ask you to pay for shipping back so your stuck with it.

    • Please let me know if they do not issue a refund or come to a reasonable resolution. In fairness, there have been plenty of people reporting refunds processed, so to claim they are not issuing them is clearly false.

      • Have posted the rep my order number. Just waiting on refund now….

    • Could you pls let me know your order number then I can apply refund for you?

  • is this little quadcopter any good? even for fun purposes, or will it break in 5 seconds?

  • The quality of the newly added products is suspect.
    * mini quadcopter has no remore or battery
    * battery charger does not have AU plug option

    • Batteries aren't legally allowed to be posted just a FYI

Not sure what you'll do without a remote though

      • Is this one of the ones that use WiFi? So you download an app and fly it from the phone?

  • Ok that was silly, they just put up a raspberry pi3 after 9pm, is that against the rules or? and the discount is for $2?

    • Against what rules? They can put whatever deals whenever they like for whatever time they like, as long as they meet the posting guidelines. Looks like the rep is adding some higher quantity, less discounted deals to the list.

      • Alright, just clarifying

        • No worries, there aren't really any 'rules' around OzB10, just the usual guidelines.

  • can we buy two items at the same time and apply two separate codes?

  • Hi mates, out of topic question. in regards with the refund, do they refund the payment in the form of paypal credits/money?

  • +1

    Who got the phone?

  • +1

complete bullocks on that Elephone, not even once did it display 10usd and i was right on the dot and it was already used.

    • +2

Too late mate. The coupon applied for me but by the time Paypal loaded it's gone. Fastest fingers wins.

      • Do you think it's fast fingers though.. or is it setup? luck?
I didn't really expect to get it with my old laptop and wifi internet but I was still there clicking away on the second of activation :)
Anyway, looked like a great phone, would have considered buying it if they had done a good deal on it (rather than one for competition)

        • not sure, even a grease monkey script couldnt have been that quick, youd need the server response to proceed, something funny.

        • @Balls: I had the network tab open when I spammed the apply coupon button - avg 400-500ms to apply the coupon.
Assuming you started clicking at 9:59:59, you'd probably see the coupon get applied but without fast reaction skills, see it disappear in front of your own eyes :/

  • Woohoo! MiBand 2 coming my way.. but I picked the wrong payment method zzzzzzzzzz

  • Missed out.. Oh well, well done to the other OZBers…

  • OZBBand: This coupon has reached its usage number limit :|

  • Woo, enough mi bands for the fam too. lol.

    • you can get more than 1 of an item with the code?

      • +1

nah we were all on our separate accounts racing each other

        • Ah cool, I was doin the same but I was the only one fast enough :P
When I saw your comment I thought people must be getting more than 1 per code and no wonder it goes so fast lol

  • +5

Honestly, don't know why I bothered. Magic millisecond clicking competition. My keenness to use GearBest is reducing with each go. I guess I'm no good at random repetitive tasks.

now back to plants vs zombies….

  • +2

wow…that mi band coupon was out right on the dot…

  • +2

It showed me 10$ but by that time I checked out it changed to 36$ by the time I selected shipping method. Got very disappointed as if it showed me 10$ it should stay there until I checked out.

  • 10pm coupons both sold out

  • +3

Are you guys kidding me with this, I just applied the coupon for the Miband 2, added to my cart for $13 AUD, went to checkout, still $13, went straight to payment and it sent me back to the cart where the price had gone back to $36, what?!

    • -1

Same with me too😔. If they show discount on price it should stay until it is checkout not like who does the payment first.

    • mine was worse… showed in paypal as $13 and then i proceeded and ended up getting charged $50 when i look at my paypal transaction… eek sent an email straight away to gearbest asking to cancel and refund :(
