Do you have to pick a plan and pay that extra amount too for activation? If really only $2 cost in total would be good to stick into spare mobile today to divert the work line too as phone sockets etc getting redone.
It has $10 value so you could opt for the $2 days plan without any extra payment. But that lasts only 30 days with 5 or less days of use. I've never tried it but presumably you could top it up for a higher plan.
Picked up a couple of these that say expiry is July/August 2018. That's good.
BUT it has a sticker on it that says: "Activate within 30 days of purchase or by the date advertised on the promotion".
So, if that is the case, these will only last you 60 days from date of purchase (30 days to activate, + 30 days expiry).
OzBargainer beware!
Where do you see that sticker? On the pack itself or on your receipt? I picked up some yesterday but didn't notice of any such sticker.

Is there any guidance on how to get the best value out of these (like the Telstra Starter Kit wiki) ?
The sim has to be active for 35 days before you can me2u the credit to another sim. You also can't stack them by activating as a replacement sim.
The best use of these is $2 for 500mb/day for a total of 5 days. If you go over you get another 500mb for another $2.
You can activate a few in advance of needing them as no credit is used until you use data/calls/text. My ADSL has been playing up lately so I've been using these sims as a backup.

If someone answer please, how many calls or minutes are included . Is it for 28 days or may be 5 days??
