Love their streak bacon! Thought i would share as they don't normally do discount. Normal price is $7. Not sure if other Coles does it but i found this from Coles in Charlestown Square.

Umm, the price tag says 30% off, and that's the stickers they use for all their meat when they need to sell it close to the use-by date.
I bought about 8 packets of this bacon last week at my local Coles (worongary qld) for 75c per packet.. I didn't list it on ozb as I cleared the shelf at that price… Sorry! But might just mean everyone needs to keep an eye out at their local store.

All supermarkets have a near used by date discount. products on discount vary. ozb would be swamped if everyone posted their local supermarket's discounted foodsWell. I iust thought its a pretty good deal and wanted to share thats all.

You can get great deals on meat if it's a day before used by date.
75% - 90% isn't unheard of.
Find out what time of day your local close mark down their meat. Mine's about 4pm. Then go through the refrigerated section and clean out the bargains.

I've eaten a lot of bacon over the years and theirs is the best I've come across. Not wanting to p!ss on anyone's parade but I'm a convert to their sausages too and am surprised how long they last in the fridge compared to other butchers snags (could be preservatives but I'm not convinced).

Costco have Tibaldi Double Smoked American Streaky Bacon 1kg, for ~$9.80, very lean, thin and delicious
Bloody good bacon but there sausages are even better.
