Off of full price. Sale items are not discounted further if over 50%

    • Yes, I suffered a minor emotional setback when I discovered this.

    • Off full price. Of after off is redundant.

This should be listed in the title…. sux to get excited for nothing

  • Got the email today. Usually I am not impressed with NB sales, but Got my favourite X-trainers for $65 so happy.

I need a replacement after I burned my last pair

    • Woa woa woa! Running on fire mate!

      • What, no, he's just a Hobo burning shoes for warmth while huddling underneath a bridge somewhere in new York.

I wonder if this 'news' is the reason they're cutting prices? Doesn't bother me though, and neither should I deter fellow bargain-seekers from any good value deals that come out of the sale!

And this is why consumer-oriented companies generally stay out of politics. The brand is doomed.

      • +1

Politics determine economics. Economics determine profits. So, companies need to be involved in politics just like every citizen. Rather, they should do it openly rather than behind closed doors via bribes or select-lobbying.
        +1 New Balance.
As to the mob, well, mob will mob, 15 minutes before their attention diverts elsewhere.

      • Yeah, their public affairs VP might be hanging around whatever the US's equivalent of Centrelink is pretty soon

      • No, they do these sales all the time. The stupid alt-right v SJW battles on the internet only matter to a tiny amount of basement dwellers except for the rare occasions they make an amusing headline. Nobody actually cares about this and New Balance will be just fine.

    • made in USA? i thought mine at home says made in china/vietnam/thailand?

        • That's a list of the New Balance shoe models made in the US or U.K. Plenty of other models are made in Vietnam and China judging by what I have at home.

  • really everything?

  • Does anyone know if their "30 Day Unconditional Return Policy" include free returns/exchanges if the size is incorrect? yes i know it says "unconditional", but still… :p

Always have problems with buying shoes online; had way too many shoes not fit despite being the same size, and they make me pay postage to send it back to them :( But I keep trying cause it's always so much cheaper!

    • go to rebel and try first? even if rebel doesnt have exact model but if same brand and similar model number then should be same with online?

    • +3

I had experience with both return and exchange with NB. They don't ask a question but provide you with a code so that you can ship the shoes back for free…… I don't usually buy shoes online due to sizing uncertainty. But NB has given me confidence to shop with them.

      • +1

I second that, had the best experience with their super friendly Customer Care team. I had no problem returning the pair of shoes which didn't fit very well. It took me couple of days to realise that the shoes are not comfortable and when I rang NB to discuss, their rep advised that we don't want you to wear shoes which are not comfortable. So they happily refunded the whole amount…. Since then, I have purchased 2 additional pairs and can't be happier.

    • I bought some that didn't fit a week ago and they told me that I had to return and refund as no exchange could be done.

  • +1

    Ugh couldn't help myself…

  • any feet guru here? so if i have very flat feet i need to get "cushioning" type of shoes, is that correct? or anything with high arc in the sole?

I highly recommend the men running Vazee Prism ($90 atm). not just for running but for walking is perfect.

    i got the 2E one.

  • The 5 inch shorts have a messed up stitching. They stay puffed up in the upper front part and pockets. I got 2 last sale a week ago but had to return them.

  • Anyone got the NB Team Hold All 2016 bag? Any feedback?

    http://www.newbalance.com.au/pd/nb-team-hold-all-2016/889969…

  • Thanks. Picked up a new pair of 574's.

  • Any thoughts on the NB 1400v4?

They RRP for $100 in America, here their $100 on sale. I don't mind the BLUE/RED, I just can't figure out if they're running shoes, or more use for sprinting.

    • review:

      http://runrepeat.com/new-balance-1400-v4

I owe the female version of this shoe.
The shoe is narrow so if your feet are normal width, go for the wide version (if they exist) or go up 1/2 size.
You have to be light to average weighted person for your height to wear this shoe as there is little padding on the sole.
this shoe is a performance flat, so there are light and fast.

      • I'm 91kg, however I'm use to using cross trainer shoes.
I have some Adidas Boost, but I actually don't run.

I would sprint at the most, it's just that shoes these days esp highly rated ones can be found online rather at reasonable prices. So either tho it's $100, down from $100. I just wonder if it's worth the $100.

        Thanks

        • if your feet is normal width, you can buy your size, and unlaced the first two levels closest to your toes. you can unlaced more levels until it feels comfortable.

These are performance running shoes so they can be used for both sprinting and running. I don't think they are the fastest shoes around but they are still fast.

        • @GMO:

          Thanks

Any advice on fast shoes? Looking for sprints, sled pushing etc

Just noticed, it's sold out in 13. 12 is def too small, I just liked the way it looked to be honest! I am looking for fast shoe options if you know any!

  • Did anyone ever manage to return shoes to NB after 30 days? I bought the cheapest ones, 373s, about 5 weeks ago, and now I feel like I should've bought the 574s or other better, slightly more expensive pairs. They're still in the box, but I am not sure whether they're flexible about the 30-day return policy or not.

  • ok, so my feet really dislike any sort of an arch, I tried the Fresh Foam Gobi Moon Trail and after standing for 2 mins inside my feet felt bruised around arches of my feet. so returned them.
what model should i be looking into?

      • since they are both Fresh Foam would they have the same footbed/fit/arch though?

        • Freshfoam is the cushioning material the sole of the shoes is made from. Depending on how the foam is formed, it may not have the same arch shape. I have not tried the gobi version. Zante 2 does have a slight arch but it's not prominent (http://runblogger.com/2016/08/new-balance-zante-2-review-sol…). I don't like the arch support found in premium shoes such as Asics Kayano. I would not use zante as your everyday work shoes a there are made for running, not working.

If you want no arch support, i would go for a racing flats like New Balance 1400 v4. However these shoes are designed for fast paced running so it would be uncomfortable to stand around in for a long time.

hmmmmm…..to be sure you can go into a large sport store and try different pairs.

        • @GMO: cheers, yea will go try on, getting sik of sending most back

  • some items cancelled due to unavailability (despite still showing available on the site). Other items are "Processing Delay." Still, good deal and thanks OP.

  • Excellent! I was looking to buy a pair of 624 shoes. $120 retail everywhere, $65 online. Bought 2 pair. Oh, and Cash Rewards 6.4% cashback is nice too.

  • FFS…shoe order cancelled. Why can't these sites get their act together and update their stock levels in real-time? That's my 3rd Ozbargain order in a row that's been cancelled after I've purchased something. I'm on a roll. :-(

  • Sale extended! Ends tonight - 25 November 7pm AEDST

  • Do they send confirmation emails? I ordered on Thursday, money came out of bank straight away and no emails or anything from NB

    • I've bought shoes from both recent 50% sales, each time they have sent me a confirmation email with title: orders (so easily missed, nothing indicating it is from new balance) and subject: Thank you for your order!

    • I ordered during the sale had to call to get a tracking number no emails
