are they taking a page from the trump handbook for free publicity?

    • +1 vote

what exactly did they do that trump would do?

    • +7 votes

I'm pretty sure that the TPP is not good for anyone but corporations.

Why else would corporations be pushing for it?

    • +12 votes

What backlash? They are my preferred brand now.

      • +1 vote

NB welcomed Trump, and the US people didn't agree and burned their shoes or threw them away.

        •

don't know why you got negged, it was the truth. Sore loser Liberals

    • +3 votes

So, the fringe opposes globalisation, but if Trump also opposes it, by tearing up TPP or renegotiate NAFTA, then they dislike him for that too?

      • +1 vote

Nowhere in that article does it say that anyone dislikes Trump for opposing the TPP. I think you'll find that "the fringe" opposes both quite strongly. Trump's opposition to FTAs is one of the very few areas where "the fringe" agrees with him.

        •

Trump's opposition to FTAs is one of the very few areas where "the fringe" agrees with him.

Yep, that's why they're protesting his win and shouting "Not my president." (Uncannily similar to when Trump refused to acknowledge his possible defeat.)
I do acknowledge that there are other issues worthy of demonstration.

        •

          @AlexF:

No, that's not why they're protesting his win. Maybe a direct quote from the article may help clear up your confusion:

"I back your stance on the TPP but to support a hate monger like Donald Trump is disheartening"

What confusion? I've not referenced the article; besides, New Balance shoe company is hardly the representative source of footware for the fringe. Perhaps if they made vegan sandals, ….

Good shoes and the postage is quick.

  • +1 vote

Again! Still have 3 pairs of shoes in box's from last sale. Must look away….

  • +1 vote

    sweet thanks.

  • +1 vote

I have more than half a dozen new shoes still in their boxes, so I have to resist the temptation.

  •

    Any specific favorite?

  •

need some advice for a pair of "walking to work" shoes, from home to station then to work, possibly walking home from another station if the train doesn't stop at my station. so quite a bit of walking.

    • +3 votes

I've been wearing the cross trainer model 624V4 for several years and find them excellent for walking. They come in usual three width sizes. The black ones are usual shoe leather upper whilst brown ones are suede leather upper. I've got both and find the suede ones a bit more comfortable in the width because they have more give.

      Great extra bonus. Thanks.

Note that you need to have entered your name and address on the page before applying NBSTAR30. It would not apply for me until I entered them.

looking for some cheap shoes for gym any recommendations ?

    •

      kmart

      •

wont be as cheap ;) or as good i like cheap but buying another pair 2 months later aint cheap :(

        •

what sort of stuff you doing at the gym?

          zumba, body pump etc

        •

          @tith:

bike treadmill weights a set routine i had made up for me (doesnt have the classes like others but is cheap :D )

        • +2 votes

@AliensStoleMyMoney: for weights dunlop volleys or similar shoes are always good for lifting, for weights all you need is a nice flat sole without much cushioning. at a cheap price range at least.

        •

          @AliensStoleMyMoney:

Wear your old cons for gym, runners for cardio.

        •

I am playing indoor cricket every week from last 2 years. Bought a cheap $35 runners from kmart. Really comfortable and great.
Then i purchased Reebock $100 running shoes on sale. They r great as well.
I still feel more comfortable in kmart cheap shoes.
The only thing i noticed over the period of time, the kmart shoes stuff worn out but Reebock even after using few months still looks brand new.

    •

Try Aldi - you would get decent Shoe sometimes…else walk in to Direct Factory Outlet.. I am sure you can get one for cheap…

      • +2 votes

Read my other comment :) rather spend an extra 10 or 20 now and not have to buy a cheap pair later :) also none of those stores near me

        •

          hmmm.. good idea..thx

  • +7 votes

If anyone's looking for running socks the impact tactel racers are excellent for $6 a pair delivered using both of the codes. I bought some last time and have now purchased a couple more. They have a nice high back, sort of mould to your feet, are a nice thickness and don't fall down.

Thank you for posting. 5o% saving is a real bargain on a pair of NB's; son is happy!

  • +4 votes

for any athletic / active guys on here who are over-pronators
    id recommend the 1260v6
even better than my kayanos which i rate highly

    • +1 vote

Size same as kayanos? Never tried a pair of v6 before, thanks.

      • +1 vote

yep same sizing however with NB they offer various widths to suit

  • -3 votes

Dunlop Volleys. No evidence at all to show running shoes improve anything whatsoever.

  •

suggestions for general gym shoes? no cardio just weights. I have my squat shoes. just need a general shoe for everything else. thanks

    • +2 votes

At this point its personal preference mate. There is no benefit. Just get something thats comfortable and you think looks good.

      •

thanks buddy! I'm liking the Ultra Boost Uncaged at the moment. : )

    • +1 vote

depends what your price range is. if you want shoes for heavy squatting etc have a look at wiggle.co.uk

      •

I'm always happy to pay for quality. I have the NIKE METCON 2 for my Squats, deads, OHP etc. I've been abusing a pair of Lunarglide 6 for 2 years and they have only just started to break down (they are runners though) I think the Ultra Boost Uncaged look good but am unsure on quality with Adidas as i have never owned anything by them.

        • +1 vote

FYI, I am wearing Ultra Boost ST everyday for about 8 months, so far the best quality and most comfortable running pair I have ever had. Much better than my privous, Nike Free 5. Got NB 990v4 last time but still sitting in the box.

        •

@Navgsc: thanks mate! I'm defo going for a pair of these then. They were recommended initially to me by an IFBB Pro who nicely replied to a message I sent via Instagram about preferred gym shoe.

    •

As close to barefoot as possible is best for squats, so nothing with a heel - a lot of people just wear socks. The same pretty much goes for all other lifting, anything flat is fine. I wear an old pair of black converse - flat, don't show marks and I can wear them with other stuff outside the gym. Anything else is basically window dressing unless you're prepping for Tokyo 2020

  • +1 vote

    thanks got a 3rd pair of 574's for 60$ shipped! :D

    •

      Didn't use free shipping code?

      •

        yes it was free shipping

  • +1 vote

good stuff. I love NB shoes.

  •

So many of the models don't come in half sizes grrrrr!

  • +2 votes

    thanks op. bought

    • +1 vote

Ditto, thanks OP - bought 4 pairs.

  • +1 vote

Are the size on the website US or UK size?

    • +1 vote

They're U.S sizes - if you click size chart when browsing a shoe it says: "Our shoes are sold in U.S sizes" - so keep that in mind when choosing a size.

  •

Guys, never had Nb before, any recommendations on shoes for walking? Not into doing any running, but something comfortable for going travelling and seeing the sights would be good.

    • +1 vote

For cardio like walking/running you'd start off with something that good for shock absorption: http://www.newbalance.com.au/men/shoes/running/?prefn1=itemT...

      •

        Thanks DreadEmperor, much appreciated! =)

        •

If you can't find anything by NB, I've sworn by the ASICS Gels for the last 6 years. ;)

        •

          @DreadEmperor:

Haha well I've had asics kayanos before but never tried anything from nb, so with this deal might as well give it a whirl

    •

I'd reccomend the 565. Comfortable, look good and a very nice price with this deal at just $60.

  • +1 vote

Thanks OP - picked up a pair of shoes and two pairs of socks.

  •

Has anyone got any recommendations for a good all-purpose shoes from new balance. An everyday pair of sneakers that's really comfortable to walk in for longer distances.

  • +4 votes

Thank you so much. I have just bought two Liverpool Football Club jerseys for $120. That is amazing :)

Thanks for this deal! Christmas presents sorted.

  •

ctrl + f trump, was not disappointed. +1 for cheap shoes

  •

Apparently NB prides itself on offering a wide range of shoe widths, including 2A and B: http://www.newbalance.com.au/id/sizechart-footwear.html

Yet there's only a single pair of men's shoes in B, and none in 2A: http://www.newbalance.com.au/men/?prefn1=productClass&prefn2... And it's actually a Woman's 'Cross Training & Cardio' shoe. Fail.

  •

I'm most interested in these - http://qz.com/828340/adidas-is-making-a-million-pairs-of-its... - if and when Adidas shoes go on sale.

  •

Can you exchange install if shoes dont fit well?

    •

Yea just send them back for refund, then order different size or model. I normally order 2 sizes and send one back.

  • +2 votes

Got me again. I just ordered another pair only months ago. They really are super comfortable shoes. I wear high end running ones just for walking etc. So good.

    •

My wife and I do the exact same thing. Great shoes also helped with my lower back aches, and if I buy some of the "cheapie" NB from our JimmKidds over here in WA, I find that they may be comfortable, but they fall apart very quickly. Buying decent runners/ joggers from NB (Though paying $125 to $250 for a pair goes against my oZ B side), it is worth the extra dough for the sheer comfort and longevity.

  • +1 vote

First NB shoes, hope I like them. Thanks OP

  •

Great find. I wore my pair the other day and stomped around a I'm with Stupid sign. Loads of fun.

  • +1 vote

Sizing of the shoes are so inconsistent. Every different style are sized differently, bought 3 different shoes, all don't fit. My sister and her husband had to return all shoes as well. I'm a size 10US, after numerous returns I manage to fit in a size 11.5 for the indoor futsal boots, size 11 in the 574 and 11 for the 560.

  • +1 vote

Cheers, just bought a set of 420s

  • +1 vote

Thanks OP, 4 pairs of shoes and 3 pairs of socks later!!

  •

Excellent! Thanks OP - got the kids some "school shoes". Sick of these expensive so-called school shoes that don't last more than a few months.

  • +1 vote

Thanks OP, just get a pair .
