    • Seagate ST9500325AS USB2 only

  • Where is the deal I can't find it listed on there web site? Need proof before posting.

  • its Iomega Select portable Hard Drive

    • Any review of the product, seems like a good price for 500Gb.

  • their website seems to be having problems i was walking past 2 days ago and bought one

  • from the last lappy kind deal it doesnt work in the canberra store. Apparently they are all run seperatly :/

    • You referring to the previous $5 Kingston 4GB usb drive deal?

At first the Canberra store didn't know about it when I went in there after the Sydney deal was posted on here, but then a week later they shipped in the goods so Canberrans eventually got the same deal.

Might need to mention this deal to them…

  • The hard drive is an iomega 500GB USB 2.0, I'll post a photo in a sec. FYI - only 1 per customer for the $59 HDD. They're also selling 4GB and 8GB Kingston USB sticks for $7 and $14 respectively.

I saw an Asus Eee PC 1001-px (hope I got the model name right) for $299 as well plus other netbooks/laptops going cheap too. I grabbed a Targus Sleeve 10.2" for $20 reduced from $40.

Get down there if you want something cause they've got a guy out the front on a mike spruiking the deals and it's pretty busy in there. Any other questions just ask.

    Here's the hard drive:

  • anyone know about the chatswood branch? im thinking of popping down at lunch time…
edit: just called them and they said they sold out ytd :(

  • Just called the Canberra store. sold out.

  • yeah pitt st sydney cbd store also sold out.
went there, saw 2 guys bought that Toshiba Satellite U500/00X laptop for $699 RRP is $1699
    also, 8GB usb run out

  • Yeah, got the last one in Canberra just before…. Got the iomega prestige 500g portable hard drive for $59. Looks very nice! And feels very nice! Aluminum finish :D

  • Anyone knows if you can remove this HDD from its case and install into PS3 as replacement? Thanks!

  • South Melbourne still has basket full of them. When I had a look at the box, I notice the included USB cable has two head. Can anyone confirm, is this one of the external HDD that require 2 connections of usb, eg. one for power, one for data? Can be a deal breaker to me.

    • Narh, you only need to use the two usb cables if your PC/Laptop USB slot doesn't have enough power to run the hard drive… In most cases, you will hardly ever likely use both USB to run it… Don't worry your fine =]

    • if you check the reviews on youtube, most of them said you'll rarely need two, unless you have some really old PC unable to provide enough juice on that one USB port, btw is the south melb store having this sale too? im tempted :D

      • Yep, on sale $59 ;) I wasn't aware of lapyking store in vic. The title made it looks like Sydney/NSW deal only. Perhaps that also explain why the store still have plenty.

Thanks for the info guys, might have to rush in to store tommorow, before mod change the title & alert everyone :P
