  • Ahhhh damn I just bought $3,600 worth of stuff in store yesterday :(

    • +2

ask them nicely for the store credit now ?

      • Couldn't hurt to ask I guess

      • They might do it since they have a price protection guarantee. This could arguably be considered a lower price than you bought it for.

    • Me $100 Gift card :(

      • looks like they waited for the weekend to pass, before unleashing this 'extension' to their sales

        • Actually, I just went through the online store (which I should have done first before thinking I'd missed out) and noticed the deals I got on the weekend actually finished at COB today. So the Oven I got for $1399 is back to it's price of $1650. So everything's about the same overall

    • Can you return it and then repurchase it?

  • Can I use this store credit to buy an Iphone? Thx

    • Excludes Apple products sadly.

    • Purchases of Apple, ASKO, Miele, Neff, Bertazzoni, Hoover, Falcon, delivery, tech support, concierge, installation, Gift Card purchases or purchases utilising previously earned Store Credits do not qualify for this promotion.

You can buy an iPhone with it once you receive it, but you can't buy any Apple products to become eligible for the credit. That is my understanding from the terms anyway..

      • Thanks. I think so, just want to confirm.

  • Is this only online? Will it work if I go in and buy in store?

    • +1

i mentioned ONLINE SALES ONLY , but the title was edited out.

in any case, just look at the terms & conditions, and it's specifically states it here:

  • I used their 30 day price Guarentee form to submit an enquiry to see if I can get instore credit.
It does say "If you find a lower price online or advertised within 30 days of your purchase we will payback 120% of the difference."

    • Was it rewarded?

      • It's a manual process, so gotta wait for them to respond via email.

    • Their 30 day price guarantee specifically excludes reference to their own offers. Unlikely this would get approved.

      • Damn, I didn't notice that :(. Oh well, doesn't hurt to ask, seems silly they would have their black friday sales, then top that 2 days after…. good way to annoy people lol

          For your info…

          AFTER YOU BUY

          **30 Day Price Guarantee***

To apply online for a 30 Day Price Guarantee claim, the claim must be lodged within 30 days of the purchase date and evidence of the approved Competitor’s lower advertised price must be provided at the time the claim is made. Payment for the relevant purchase must have been paid in full and the product taken or delivered. We will verify the price is current and that the item is available for immediate sale and delivery. Applies to individual shoppers only, corporate claims are not permitted. There is a limit of one claim per product. On line 30 Day Price Guarantee claims can only be made in respect of prices advertised by the nominated retailers listed below. 30 Day Price Guarantee claims can be made in store against local competitors by providing a copy of the purchase docket and the local competitor’s advertisement. The local competitor must have a physical store within 30 km of the relevant The Good Guys store at which you have made or collected your original purchase.

Currently we are not accepting 30 Day Price Guarantee and Price Beat Claims against Dick Smith or Masters.

Eligible claims will receive 120% of the purchase price difference back as either a The Good Guys store credit (via SMS within two working days), or a PAY LESS eftpos card (mailed by Australia Post within 21 working days to the customer’s address). Claims less than $50 will only be paid as a store credit

The product for which the claim is made must be the same brand and model and offer a warranty issued by the manufacturer and applicable in Australia. Approved retailer prices must be in Australian dollars and will be adjusted to exclude any added fees, taxes or other charges such as shipping

The PAY LESS eftpos card is issued by Emerchants Payment Solutions Limited ABN 30 131 436 532, AFSL 404131. To check your balance, please log onto www.activatemycard.com.au/thegoodguys. PAY LESS eftpos cards are subject to the conditions of use that can be found at www.activatemycard.com.au/thegoodguys. The 30 Day Price Guarantee does not apply in respect of advertising errors, limited or group buy offers, clearance products, promo code offers, finance offers, prices which include bonus offers, cash backs or discounts whether these are offered directly or via redemption from a supplier or a third party and also excludes items sold on marketplace websites such as eBay , as well as The Good Guys own pricing and any brand it sells for a third party supplier under an agency agreement. The terms and conditions are subject to change.

    • Unfortunately doesn't apply to Good Guys own prices. I just used this 30 day guarantee against JB-HI-FI and it was succesful. Took a few days. I would rather have gotten a refund as the lower value items at Good Guys are often more expensive than online stores, but I will just buy an SD card or something. Still waiting for my $100 credit from the last deal. I think they're purposely waiting until December to send them so that people pay higher prices for any big purchases before Christmas and can't be used in this current black friday sale.

  • WTF!!!
    i just spend $53 today.
    i lost $10 :(

yes, they tracked your phone's GPS until you were in you were back in your drive-way, and then decided to post this deal ;-)

  • Does anyone know if the Price Match Guarantee will work with this offer?

As in, if I buy an item at $1500 and know it's available elsewhere at $1350 (TGG is closer and has a better returns policy), would I be eligible for both the $250 instore credit and the refund of 120% of the difference (~$180) when I submit the price match request online? Or does an instore credit offer let them say that the item wasn't 'actually' cheaper (even though it was)?

I don't know if that makes sense, but I hope someone understands what I mean.

    • +1

Yes, you would still get both provided the total spend after claiming the price guarantee was still over. I have just done a price guarantee and emailed beforehand, they told me to submit the price guarantee as soon as my item arrived and that my $100 store credit will arrive on or before December. Price guarantee was accepted and I received credit via a text message. Just waiting on my $100 store credit now.

  • Thinking of buying Fisher & Paykel washing machine, but Appliance Online has cheaper price and incl free delivery (+10% if bought from Ebay). Would it be worth to price match to TGG?
