    Depends on what you call a proper dive watch. OP is referring to style rather than a function.

    200M Water Resistant can be a made up number. While most decent manufacturers don't, there's nothing stopping them.

    For a watch to be a "diver" it has to meet ISO 6425. This watch doesn't meet the standard and Casio doesn't call it a diver.

  Has anyone managed to find the original Casio MDV102? That one has the LED illuminator although the MDV106 has a cleaner and more refined designed. Wish it also has the illuminator though.

    No but there is a Super Illuminator in my description for AU$88.00.
