Still waiting for my emails too. Looks like Westfield take their time

      • Did you make 5 transactions using Android/ Apple pay to take advantage of $10 credit offer?

        • Yes for four of them and one using the card with contactless payment.

        • @rse43: Which Westfield did you visit? Do all Westfield kiosks accept Android Pay?

        • @virhlpool: I went to the one on Pitt st in Sydney. Android Pay should be supported wherever Apple Pay is.

    • Got $300 westfield gift card and paid $100.50 x 2 via Samsung pay and the remaining with another bank issued card.

Transaction recorded as Westfield and is more than $100

Not sure if it will stack with wallet offer but will be happy with whatever cash back i get

  • Say with Super Cheap Auto: Spend $70 in one or more transactions to get $20 back=> Can I spend first $30 and then $40 so totally $70 to get $20 cashback?

      • +10

Don't give wrong advice. It clearly says in one or more transactions.

        • One or more transaction where the total is $70 or more.

        • +1

I love this community where people help each other. Thank you!

Does Opal topup at Woolworths work with Westfield gift card?

    • Also wondering this

    • Yeah it should, grab the XS card.

      • So the standand card can't be used at Woolworths?

    • +4

You still want more opal after shopsmall November?

  • -2

    2.95 fee
    5.95 delivery
    Very deceiving.

    • +2

      For what mate

      • I believe black is referring to the Westfield gift cards.

        • +3

I believe Putnum is questioning what is actually deceiving

    • +1

Can't you buy this in store? So would only be extra 2.95?

      • +3

That's what I am going to do!

  • good start to summer. ta op

  • I am not working at the moment, would Amex approve a card for me?

    • Most Amex issuers need incomes of 50K or more to be approved.

      • I got an Amex with one sub card. May be I can get more subs or based on good historical bill payment to get more cards? I really just need minimal credits like even 100 dollars to take the advantage of all these deals. :)

        • That's the other problem. Most Amex cards have a min balance of 10K or more from what I've seen. And from what I tried before, it's really hard to get that lowered.

        • +2

          @cnut: not true

I don't think AMEX cards are as premium as many think

I've got a limit of 3k on 2x of the "Platinum" cards

        • @illumination: Oh nice. Is that with an Amex issued card or through a bank?

        • +1

          @cnut: AMEX AMEX

        • @cnut: what's the difference?

        • @cnut: yeah, I hate unnecessary credits. :)

        • @cnut: Amex Essential has only $2k minimum credit limit

        • @illumination: Same. $3k on Platinum edge.

        • Sub cards? Do you mean supplementary card holder (e.g. partner/spouse)? Both my partner and I have the same card numbers even though she is the supplementary card holder. Same for 4 different cards where she is the sup?

        • @jingsu6688: Amex Amex has slightly more offers and is limited to 2 per person. You also get supplementary cards with different numbers, Amex's reward point system and shopping insurance.

Do first choice sell Coles myer group gift cards?

    • -4

arent they woolworths based? if so prolly not

      • +2

I guess 2nd question is if they sell Woolworths gift cards in store?

      • +1

        No. They're coles myer group

        • In that case do they sell Coles Myer gift card?

        • @salehiam: that was the question being asked.

        • +1

And does anyone know the answer ?

        • +3

          @salehiam:
          What was the question again?

        • @k23man:

Yes First Choice Liquors have Coles/Myer gift card. I bought $150 gift cards and got AMEX email $30 immediately.

    • I'd like to know this as well

    • +1

      Yes they do.
I called a store to confirm.

  • +5

AMEX is gonna make me bankrupt :') <3

    • +1

Or are you (we) gonna make AMEX bankrupt?!

  • +1

Thanks OP. Will get the XS Card and use it anywhere Amex isn't accepted. Anyone know if there's $100 limit on Android Pay, like there is for other Paywave cards?

    • I don't think so. Isn't the limit just that if it's less than $100, no PIN is required and if it's over $100, you have to enter your PIN?

    • +2

Yes - Android Pay requires PIN for purchases over $100.

It's in T&Cs + tested myself when redeeming @ Rebel + Amart Sports in recent weeks.

      • Thanks @WalterBiH

      • Would it ever require a signature?

    • Sounds like an awesome plan!

  • +1

Did we crash the site or is it just me? "Safari cannot open the page due to too many redirects."

    • +1

Clear all the history in your browser and try again. I got the same problem before.

      • Started working just before too. Only saved the relevant ones to my card so we don't waste the limits.

  • Nice share OP!

  • What's the downside of adding offers but never using them ( apart from others missing out)?

Do you miss out on any targeted offers in the future because you've added, but never used added offers?

    • +1

      none.

    • I don't think there are any negatives to adding offers. They rarely reach the card limit

      • Even the shop small promo I managed to add late supplementary cards and redeem the statement credits.

  • waking up to this crap deal haha just being sarcastic, thanks OP

  • Anyone confirmed you get the credit for Westfield XS card?

    • Should work

    • +7

Bought mine. Received the email saying $25 is on it's way.

    • what does the ' XS' part mean plse? sorry I have info overload!!

      • +2

        eXtra Spending

  • If DJ accept them, then buy the Oral-B Pro 5000 Toothbrush and price match with priceline (if any left) - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/278723 (not sure why expired. still $91 on priceline website). Final cost after cashback should be approx $22.80 ($91 (pricematch) - 20% (assume XS giftcard) - $50 cashback).

    • (not sure why expired. still $91 on priceline website)

The $10 off expired Nov 30 so not not $81 anymore.

      • Thanks

  • -2

Can stack Westfield gift card with David Jones cashback if making purchases for over $300.
Note, David Jones cashback expires expires 4th December.

    • Did you mean go to DJ and buy Westfield gift card?

      • +1

I should've explained it more, my bad
        1. Buy Westfield gift card for $100 (Get $25 back via AMEX gift card event).
        2. Go DJ and buy what you want for over $300. Use your Westfield Gift card to pay for $100, then use for Amex to pay for the rest. (Get $40 back via Amex DJ event expiring December 4th).
        3. Get total $65 back for $300+ purchases.

        • ya, I got you, thanks for the explanation.

        • +2

DJ offer is for online only..

        • @feihong:
Oh, my bad. Never actually realized it was online only. I was actually planning today to buy a watch, guess I'll need to hold it off for now then =/

        • +1

@Zackyis: Buy DJs gift card online

    • +3

hmmmm, if you pay with the westfield giftcard at DJ, you'll get no cashback from Amex

  • +2

Registered. Will wait to see what crazy stacked deals/cash backs people can work out

  • +1

first thing came up on my mind, is westfield going broke?

    • Its run by Amex not Westifield. Also there are offers for other companies if you look at the list.

    • +1

their tenants would tell a different story.

  • I just received my AmEx. How does it work? Is the credit stored digitally on the card or do you get an actual card from the store at time of purchase?

    • statement credit

      • -1

        What does that mean?

        • +1

For a spend 50, get $10 back offer, your credit card statement will show you spent 50 dollars, but Amex will give you back 10 dollars, so you only have to pay Amex 40 dollars at the end of the month.

        • @abetastic: Got it, so no extra action is required on my part.

        • +2

@mazorn: No extra action, just make sure you enrol in the offer

        • @timmm94:

and then go to the store (or online) to buy the gift card.

  • +1

so the best deal is buying westfield XS because it works very similar like cash ie can be used at coles woolworth or any eftpos terminals?

    • +1

westfield giftcard works on coles, woolies, ALDI and so on. so for $100 card, I go for giftcard, Not huge difference for your normally shopping and help you save another $2

      • hmm that if coles/wollies are inside westfield. near my place the coles and wollworth is independently (small shopping village not mall).

        • +1

Actually, you can use your westfield gift card at any woolies, even outside a westfield.

        • Get XS card. Use it at any store whether inside or outside Westfield.

        • @John Kelvin: oh? really? hmm ok let me check again

        • @John Kelvin: Really? Have you done this?

        • +3

@sween64: I did try it as I used to shopping woolies at a shopping village near my home using westfield giftcard without any issue. I also made purchase at Chatswood station woolworths without any problem.

They may change now but really worth to try.
