  • Thanks forumninja! Got the Mobile Pay offer but not the Domayne Auburn offer showing up on my DJs AMEX.

  • +1

    Cheers ninja!

    These are targeted offers.

I assumed you have tried your special manual enrollment trick to no avail?

I was able to buy a giftcard from Coles using Android Pay last time they had this promotion

    • +6

The deal has been updated with a manual link.

      • Hi forumninja, can you share how you find the manual links please? Thanks.

  • +10

Mobile wallets offer doesn't work with bank issued cards. I wonder how many people won't read

This offer is only available for Cards issued by American Express Australia Limited.

    • +3

Yes, can confirm not reading as CBA AMEX by manual link gave:

Unfortunately this campaign is by invitation only. Please visit http://www.amexconnect.com.au for other fabulous offers.

      • +1

You still can use ANZ Amex for ApplePay (not sure with this MobileWallet though). Not CBA or other big 4, they won't work with any apps, as ANZ was the only big bank signed the agreement with Apple

        • Nope won't let me register with ANZ Amex.

    • Heck, it aint even working with my AMEX issued Qantas AMEX card… tried twice at a 7 Eleven last night… didn't work at all.

  • Thanks OP, appreciate the post.

  • Thanks OP!

  • Thanks.. Mobile wallet offer is an easy freebie..

  • Time to hit Harvey Norman for some VPay

    • Do they have contact-less payment by phone?

      • All Paywave devices should work if your phone has NFC.

        • +1

Not necessarily. Priceline for example can't be used with Android Pay

        • +1

          @kerfuffle:

          I stand corrected then.

        • +3

@kerfuffle: However, from my experience at Priceline (~5 times) you can't use contactless for any AMEX cards.

  • Thanks OP! Nothing like free credits!

  • Got the Mobile Wallet offer on my two Platinum Edge cards and manually enrolled on my two supplementary cards. Haven't added the supps to Apple Pay yet, hopefully no issues!

    • +1

I didn't know that you could use supp cards for amex offers? normally works? if so, jeez i'm a noob.

      • +2

        They surely do work. 1x Amex, 1x Anz, 1x Nab, + 4x Supps = $700 Accor credits :)

      • +1

As long as the card numbers are different.

  • Any one know if this stacks with the Harvey Norman $100 cash back?

    • +1

I've had more than one offer trigger off the same transaction before, this one shouldn't be any different.

      • +1

        same
Eg the Under Armour deal triggered both shop small and click frenzy deals recently

    • No. Harvey Norman $100 cash back excludes Domayne.

      • +3

        He meant mobile wallet.

  • Targeted.

    tried manual link, not working

"Unfortunately this campaign is by invitation only. Please visit http://www.amexconnect.com.au for other fabulous offers."

    • +1

Is your card a bank issued AMEX?

      • yeah, my fault. my one is bank issued AMEX :(

    • I got the same thing with my NAB Amex. But my "real" Amex worked.
The OP says it only works for AMEX-issued cards, I just figured I'd give it a try anyway

  • +1

For apple users use the wallet app

  • This is a bit of a dumb question, but I recently balance transferred to Amex and I was wondering if I used the card would it revert back to the original interest rate for all of the card, or would the 0% still remain on the balance?

Amex deals are too good to pass up!

    • If you already have a statement issued showing the BT - then pay the extra charge less the statement credit a few days after it clears onto your account. You'll end up paying a few cents of interest, but its more than offset by the statement credits.

I do this regularly on my cards with BT sitting on them - only time in my life I am happy to wear a few cents of interest!

      • Cool, thanks for that. Yeah I do, it's only a quite small balance. This is just really helpful for being a season or two of TV for my parents for Christmas.

        • +1

Check and observe carefully. With many banks, your interest of balance transfer will remain 0, and any payment would go to higher interest usage first. Sounds good, until you find out that any ongoing purchase would lose their interest free days (means, you're charged those 20% p.a interest from the time you use it). That way, even if you always pay your CC balance (of the purchase) on time, you'd still be charged up some accumulated interest, that could be big if you use it heavily for purchase. Only way to avoid it if you really want to use it to buy something, is to pay that purchase amount debt right away. IMHO, the best way with BT, is still to use that CC for BT only until it lapsed (thus some ppl have multiple CC to do such thing).

  • can you do either step first Save the offer to your eligible Card and then register with Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Android Pay or vice versa? can you double dip by using it at a small shop before nov 30th? whats the maximum cards you can add to Samsung Pay or Android Pay? would only let me add 5 to samsung and got errors for trying to add more maybe i need to contact amex?

    • +2

Yes, you can double dip with shop small on this one.

  • Never used mobile pay before although my android phones is NFC ready… between Samsung Pay and Android Pay, is one more accepted than the other? when the same Amex card is loaded into it?

    cheers.

    • They're just a system allowing you to load the card info to your phone. Once it's loaded, they function just like your physical CC (through paypass/paywave).

  • This should stack with a shop small credit too.

  • +1

Thanks OP. The mobile wallets is not as good as the last time but for 33% off, can't complain :-P

  • -4

Maybe I missed it, but where is the maximum merchant count applicable for this deal? For example, it was max 10 merchants per card for the Shop Small promo. I've read throughout the T&Cs and nothing jumps out, so can we assume this is unlimited?

And this could be a biggie…. I also can't find language stating that the promo is valid once per merchant. That could mean 33% off very large purchases (eg several $30 payments). Stacked with HN promo that could be very lucrative.

    • +4

Offer is limited to one credit per registered Card. Only spend on the Card you register counts towards the Offer.

Do you mean this? It says limited to one credit per card.

  • one off offer or multiple times?

  • Never use any wallet pay or apple pay before. Does it mean anyshop that accept paypass can use applepay or wallet pay?

    • Not paypass, but any shop that accepts amex will be eligible for this transaction (you have to pay through Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Android Pay)

      • And not all Android Pay acceptors automatically accept amex via android pay - some require VISA/MC only via Android Pay.

  • Unfortunately this campaign is by invitation only. Please visit http://www.amexconnect.com.au for other fabulous offers.

Damm need to use AMEX AMEX!

    • +1

All your nine cards are bank-issued?

      • -2

        No

  • This is great, free money thanks!

  • +3

I've confirmed that this offer can be stacked with the Shopsmall offer, I received both of the confirmation emails for a transaction of $30 I just made.

    • +1

Where did you shop to achieve this?

      • +1

Where the shops are on the shopsmall map and the terminal accepts Apple & Android wallets. I shopped at Sunlit market in Garden City, QLD

        • Cheers. I know about the Shop Small map, but places that accept the wallets are few and far between, and I only know of the usual suspects, which happen to not participate in the Shop Small program.

  • No confirmation email for registration?

  • How many cards can be linked to android pay in one device? Thanks in advance!

  • Does Harvey Norman accept Android Pay?

And side note, my phone doesn't have NFC. Is there a work around or a sim that can be used to get NFC?

    • +1

NFC is a device thing, not a SIM card thing.

You could buy a cheap phone with NFC (I think cheapest is ~$100?). Otherwise, I think it'd probably be easier to borrow a friend's spare phone with NFC, if you have one.

      • Ok. Cool. What about Harvey Norman accepting Android Pay?

        • Don't know (that's why I didn't answer that question) but I would assume yes on the basis of them accepting contactless payments.

        • Any terminal that accepts paywave will accept it.

        • yes, they do. I just used android pay there last Saturday.

  • yes yes thank you!

    <3 Amex.

  • I am having issues registering the Qantas Amex card to android pay? I have Samsung S7 phone? Every time it comes with an error, asking to contact your bank.
Anybody else having the similar issue?

    • I did have this issue last time I added cards, contacted Amex, and they resolved it.

  • Is this similar offer with previous one with Android Pay only ?

    • yep except for any mobile wallet. If you're an android pay user it's pretty much the same deal as last time except different cashback amount

  • +1

Anyone game enough to try purchasing Vpays from Domayne Auburn and see if it triggers the credit? :P

    • It will work, but purchasing $30 vpay is not worth it as the fee is high so negates this.

      • I'm actually not so confident it'll work.

There was a recent Domayne Alexandria offer which I thought might work at "Harvey Norman Domayne Alexandria". Nope. Didn't work. And when I requested for the credit, it was approved as a "gesture of goodwill" and it was confirmed that Harvey Norman Domayne Alexandria was apparently not part of it (different merchant ID or something).

Based on that logic it won't work.

purchasing $30 vpay is not worth it as the fee is high so negates this.

Hang on - why would you buy $30 Vpays? Do they even exist? You need to spend $200+ to trigger this credit not $30.

edit: Oh you're thinking of the mobile wallets credit. I'm referring to the Domayne Auburn one.. but you could always combine it lol

        • Think we already established that purchasing ferom Domayne Harvey normans the $100 credit will not apply, but this $10 credit will :)

          Keep up!!

        • @Turd: lol I said we were talking about different things!

You're talking about the mobile wallets offer which is usable anywhere (why use it at Harvey Norman and on vpays specifically?). I was referring to the Domayne Auburn one.

My glimmer of hope is that Domayne offers before this last Domayne Alexandria one still worked at Harvey Norman.

        • @illumination: Ahhh Should be fine I think as long as you registered and spend $200 or more you will get $30 back.

  • Got the email for spending using the mobile wallet! Saving $10 WOOOOOOO!! 33% off!!

  • Yesterday I installed Andriod Pay on my phone for this deal. When I look at my transaction history, seems like I've been charge $2 from "Google Services". Wtf is this?

    • +1

Don't worry about that - that is just pre-authorisation, and will drop off.

  • I successfully registered but did not get an email confirmation.

    Did anyone else?

It also does not appear in my AMEX offers saved to card.

    • No confirmation, but when I bought something I got an email.

    • No email confirmation for registration, but did appear in the Amex saved offers. Did you give it a few minutes to appear in your saved offers?

      • It didn't appear the next day either.

So I tried enrolling again, and it told me it oculdn't enrol me because I was already registered for the offer.

        • +1

This is rather strange, registered, yet not showing in your offers. I haven't seen this before. I take it yours is an Amex-issued Amex card?

If I were you, I will send a secure message to Amex Support, and have them confirm your registration. Instead of just chancing it. If the cashback is not forthcoming, at least you can fallback on their word.

        • +1

          @bluesky: It's AMEX issued, yes.

I think I'll just try it on one card. I will spend that money anyway. If there's no email informing me of the spend, I won't bother using the other two AMEX cards that enrolled for it..

        • @lostn: Really strange! This happening on one card, I can understand - maybe a glitch. But three cards? Hmm..

  • Is there a way to find out which merchants accept Apple pay ?

    • Anyone who takes AMEX ExpressPay as a method of payment. e.g. Myer and David Jones, Woolworths, Coles, Target, Big W …

  • +1

just ask the server and then trial and error, if your phone supports both samsung and android pay why not install both if one doesnt work try the other app. i tried android pay at a hotel today and it didnt work so i gave samsung pay a go and it worked. if you having trouble finding stores that accept it just go to woolies or coles and get yourself some gift cards as all 3 apps work there.

  • btw saw a optus 4g zte phone and a coles chat 4g phone on sale for under $30 today at coles desk. anyone know if they have NFC?

    • +2

At that price, most likely no

  • Whathe cheapest fone I can buy to take advantage of this deal?

  • I tried to pay at Coles yesterday using android pay and it didn't work. I have no idea why but was very annoyed. I used it last time at the same supermarket. anyone know why this might be?
