Monday, 12th December: 1 x used 2014 Audi A1 8X MY14 Sportback 1.4 TFSI Attraction with automatic transmission in black valued at up to $23,200.00 including five (5) months registration, compulsory third party insurance and stamp duty (which may vary State by State). Additional insurance, options, petrol and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner. The winner must collect the car from 1/63 Miller St, Pyrmont, Sydney, NSW 2009 or arrange freight at the winner’s own cost. If the winner is, through any legal incapacity or otherwise, unable to register the car in their own name, then the winner may assign the car to another person (who consents to such assignment) with legal capacity for the purpose of registration. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any such arrangements between the winner and the assignee. The winner must provide the Promoter with certified copies of all required documentation as required by the Promoter before the car is awarded. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form to be determined by the Promoter in its discretion.

no. some people have worked stuff out and have a bit of an advantage (not me) but you just search normal gumtree for the item. it will come up once it is activated than you just need to be super quick.

I found a page that fit the entire description of the vehicle, even remaining rego, from user 'Gumtree'. Kept waiting for it to update with competition info, but it's been taken down.. :(

Yea I think they are throwing out a bunch of decoys today.
That was meant to be the prize ad but some numpty on FB said he reported it to Gumtree as spam, so they probably realised people found it and removed it to create a new one.

I think its quite a good promo coz it generated lots of clicks on their site. But there are always lessons learnt…I have heard that more people list cars for sale on gumtree but don't know if they get more cars sold than other sites/ physical dealers.

are they going to send us a email even we win or lose??They say they will send a message to everyone (win / lose) if you get a message in before the ad is updated as found. But sometimes they miss a few. But according to ts and cs, they will update the comp with the winners tomorrow.
In theory yes, if you got a message in before the ad got taken down they should send you an email. But I haven't been receiving mine.
Terms state sportback they list hatchback.. gonna delete the app and make gumtree a memory .. sick of companies breaking their own terms when it comes to comps.. dont mind not winning but hate losing when companies go against their own terms and conditions taking away the fairness.
The ad before it was found also state to reply with "giftmas" but I replied with my surname. Because of haste, I didn't read ad until after.
On Facebook they said they would accept either.

Someone on Facebook said she'd been contacted as the winner.
Tcs and Cs state the draw was meant to be on 13th and Gumtree have to contact the winner within 2 days of the draw.
EDIT: Thought I should say that winners will be notified via email, so don't just look at your Gumtree messages.

Happens all the time. My email address even has my full name in it. Often when I send work related emails, where I have a signature block and everything, people still reply with Hi Louise, like they think they know how to spell my name better than me and I made a mistake

No. When I rang yesterday or the day before they said they were waiting to contact all winners before sending and they were hoping to have all prizes sent next week.
Which is funny cos they told my husband they had to wait to receive his prize before sending it on to him!
Husband is ridiculously excited, only because he's never really won anything (except a gingerbread house kit).

It's another company who are sending out the prizes and getting in touch. Husband got his email almost a week after the prize day (we won the ring) to say he was a winner - but it was from this other company. Then Gumtree messaged him to say they couldn't get in touch with him even though he was already speaking to the other company. Then they told husband they had to wait to receive the prize before mailing it out, but Loulou got told they had all the prizes already so who knows!
Anyone heard anything from Gumtree yet about the prizes?
I was originally told it would be delivered not last week but the week before and that I would need to be home to sign for it.
Than I was told, after calling them about the 14th, they need to wait until all winners are confirmed and contacted before sending out the prizes that are in there warehouse and they hoped that would be this week.
Compacc was told they have to wait to receive the prizes before mailing them out (even though i was advised that already had them).
So, who knows if we will get them before Christmas since we don't have tracking numbers yet.
It is the same promotional company doing the Dolmio promotion. I won a pepper hacker back in August, still waiting on it but today I received a hamper of Dolmio goodies.I have them a call today and all they said was that my win was verified and that it would be shipped out "sometime this week". They didn't seem too keen to actually chat at all..
