  • More details, man.
What kind of a laptop are you looking for, what's your budget?

    • Budget around 800-1000$ don't need a gaming laptop but should be i7, 1 Tb HDD and 16 GB ram and I don't know where to get good electronic deal on boxing day.

For the lower end of the price range you should consider an i5 Processor/8GB RAM with a 256GB SSD. Having an SSD Drive (rather than a conventional hard disk drive) will greatly increase the overall performance and everyday use of the laptop much more than having an i7 processor. You will have the option afterwards to add another 8GB RAM if you find that your RAM is bottlenecking the system but in most general use cases it will not be required. Overall this setup will save you some money and perform above your expectations.

        Hope this helps.

  • I'm not too sure about boxing day deals, check out the Dell factory outlet, MSY and Umart, there are loads in that price range.
I don't think there are too many 16 gig RAM ones out there as such, but should be easy to upgrade.

    • Thanks for reply

  • There are U series dual core i7's and there are H series quad core i7's. You need to decide whether you want longer battery life or quicker compute time.

    • which have longer battery life?

      • The Underpowered U series dual core i7's, which are really not much different from the U series i5's.

See this table and decide for yourself.

I read lappy deal and got excited.

  • so what did you buy?

  • Now I think in Australia before buying a laptop it is necessary to buy a car first so laptop buying plan postponed.
