Multiple Dan Murphy's Cashback Declined

Was checking my cashback balance and found that multiple Dan Murphy's cashback has been declined for unknown reasons. Did that happen to anybody? It looks like this in my cashrewards. I can't think of a reason for this, these were all transactions that I got through cashrewards and haven't returned anything etc. Does that mean Dan Murphy's has a falling out with cashrewards? @TA, any idea what's happening here?

PS: Just to be clear, I'm not accusing CR, I've had plenty of cashback that went through and plenty that didn't go through which I'm not complaining about since I just consider CR as a bonus rather than a discount. These ones however were actually tracked purchases so was just wondering what has happened.

  • Have you tried contacting Cash Rewards?

    • didn't try that yet, just wanted to see whether anyone has experienced this

Obviously you haven't. Why would you contact the only people that could actually help you…

        • jeez! calm down mate, I asked after tomsco suggested, like I said, I was interested in knowing whether it happened to anyone else. peace!

@enzioFirenze: Many people come here complaining that CR are scammers without actually contacting CR first to find out why there cashback hasn't come through yet. That's why you got the hostility ;)

        • @Clear: I didn't think of that, my bad. @enzioFirenze: It's okay. I didn't think you were.

  • Mad neggers here sometimes, other people's experience, if it exists, is an obvious source of help. At the very least it shows the extent of any perceived problem.

If you are ever in a medical emergency, first thing you should do is create a forum post and ask the internet doctors. Calling 000 comes second if the trolls don't give you what you want. Everyone's condition is the same, results will not vary.

  • Were they gift card transactions?
    T&C says:

Rewards are not payable when you purchase a gift card.

Although, I seem to recall a while back it was not an issue. Perhaps a new condition.

    • nope, they weren't gift cards, good old booze paid by credit card.

      • In that case, best to file cashback claims. I just had an untracked cashback claim resolved.

Yours were tracked, but I imagine you can use the same untracked claim process as well. Go to the Click History of any of this, start the cashback claim process.

Have to give Cashrewards credit, they have made the process very easy. And their customer support is very responsive nowadays. Good luck.

  • Had 4 knocked back also (wife drinks a lot!). Put claim in. Now for the long wait.
I am suspicious that maybe Dan is no longer going to pay rewards on purchases paid by gift card. While I have had plenty approved previously, I note on another rewards site their Ts&Cs contain "Cashback may not be payable if you pay by gift card or if you purchase a gift card".

    • But the Cashreward's T&C for Dan Murphy specifically allow it.

Rewards are not payable when you purchase a gift card.

Rewards are payable when you pay for your purchase with a Dan Murphy's or WISH gift card.

Just a hunch, maybe DM consider it falls foul of this, if a promotional offer is used.

Rewards may not be payable when used in conjunction with payment by a Groupon Woolworths Voucher or other third party promotional vouchers.

Did you by any chance use any promotional code?

      • No promo code used. Just paid as usual with wish card

        • Probably their system unable to identify which are qualifying transactions. Perhaps file some cashback claims, if you have the invoices.
