Etihad Airways is having a sale on flights to Madrid, Rome and Paris. Travel in Feb - Apr/17. There are also cheap flights from Hobart, Canberra and the Gold Coast but I couldn't fit it in the title. They are included below

      Don't think so… this is just on the flight from Melbourne to Madrid. On the one to Paris it's only 2 hour wait which is excellent.

  KLM had them in JULY/AUGUST for $1300 return, using Etihad the whole way.

        damn I missed this promo and I've had my eye out, where did you see this and when did you book it?

        I looked up there are still $1300-$1400 airfairs but they are 35+ hours on the way up and only the first leg is with Etihad :(

        Go to KLM.com and look at departure date LHR -MEL in and out 02JUL16 and return 04AUG16 and I'm stil seeing $1800ish. Total time under 28hrs each way. Mine was cheaper because I'm departing Rome with less departure tax.

      That time of year with Etihad you're looking at $2700+ for return, $2100+ with Emirates, so yes theres a big difference for peak season to save over $1000

  i want to go brisbane to zurich in early april (dep 6/04, rtn 29/04) and it is showing up at about $1327, which is not as cheap as the others but still pretty good……. but all the connections i can book on IWTF are pretty weird….. can you help please IWTF??

  on the outbound flight it has a ~2hr transit in abu dhabi and geneva, when a search on ITA matrix shows a ~55min transit is available in dusseldorf.

  on the return flight it has be transiting in abu dhabi and SYD/MELB, when there is also a direct flight onwards from abu dhabi to BNE but i can't seem to book this.

  if i search a flight that is BNE-GVA then i can book the direct flight AUH-BNE, but then i have a ~17hr layover in GVA…. i think this would be the best option. is it possible to do an open jaw and dep BNE-AUH-GVA, rtn ZRH-AUH-BNE??

  also, if i want to earn velocity points does it make a difference if i book this through etihad or virgin directly? i don't care about status points.

  Thanks OP. Got to Paris return from Mel leave Jan return late Feb for just over $1000. A bargain indeed
