    This isn't a deal- this is just spam. I got this in an email earlier today as well and was doing some rate shopping and the deal is heavily blocked out for both of their hotels in Melbourne throughout December-January.

      It might not apply to the room you want. The hotel i checked only gave a discount on the deluxe rooms and not the cheapest executive rooms so while it ended up slightly cheaper, it wasnt the full 40%.

      That's not bad from the usual $199.

      Gone are the days when I can get $130-$150 deals for Hilton or Westin at Sydney from wotif. Sigh

      AMEX cashback says you have to pay upon check-out at the hotel. This is a prepaid rate.
      So, it doesn't hurt to try, but don't bet on it.

        My Amex cashback applied ok for their 40% off prepaid sale of a few weeks back - took a few days to appear on my statement, but it did. Pretty much teh same timings to when I used it at checkout (on another amex) for a separate booking a few weeks prior to that. So you should be good

        I used an amex offer for accor hotels…payment was made at booking. Amex credit came in after we checked out.

      This offer is 40% off the flexible rate. The standard prepaid rate is usually about that too. In fact, I was looking at a prepaid rate for Hilton Adelaide a couple of days ago which was either 149 or 159 (can't remember) and this offer gives me 155. So, 3% difference…

    Why do people keep falling for these % off rack rate hotel deals? If you think Myer, Anaconda or Kathmandu are bad for constant fake sales you haven't seen anything compared to hotels.

    Good deal, booked Hilton Brisbane in Jan for a Friday and Saturday - with breakfast, $310. Combine with Amex deal brings the price down to $160 or $80/night. I had to be there for a wedding anyway.
