$93.1 with extra 5% off coupon (thanks deal junkie)

Seems like a good price for the old model Fitbit Charge HR. Plum only, though there's also teal for the same price without the bonus accesories

I went through three of these in a year due to the rubber band ungluing itself from the tracker. As the tracker is fixed to the band, it can be extremely annoying. Although fitbit replaced the first two under warranty, I'm now past the initial purchase year and they won't replace it anymore.

A bit annoying as I don't think any individual tracker lasted longer than 5 months (with no extreme use, water on it, etc).

I would go for the new version if getting one. Hopefully worked out some of the problems.

I have the same issue. But from what I've been told the warranty is based off the date of the replacement i.e. warranty resets at each replacement.

Odd, that's what I would have thought as well. However they don't seem to budge on sending me a new one!

There is clearly something wrong with the design. Pages of complaints on their own support forums as well.

      • The warranty doesn't reset. We have had 3 in one year and have been told it goes by the purchase date only.

That's such bogus. Australian Consumer Law dictates that they should all be covered separately. How can they say that a year is an acceptable lifespan for one of these devices??!?

    • I don't have such issue and I am wearing it everyday plus going to the gym. However I have the black one. I only have problem with Garmin though, and 2nd time ended up got a refund.

      • The black one has the same issue. I've gone through 3 in one year without any crazy use.

        • Well, may be I am just the lucky one.

I would definitely consider this as a manufacturing fault and ask for a refund, even after the year of warranty. If they refuse simply fill out a form with customer law and they will take care of it.

  • I bought one from Telstra early this year and have the same problem. Any ideas if I should bring it back to Telstra or contact Fitbit directly for warranty? Thanks in advance.

Contact Fitbit directly. I'm on my 3rd Fitbit Charge after the first two fell apart after about 8 months each. My 3rd has hit that mark and it's almost snapped at the hinge.
