Bicycle NSW Membership $6 off

celebratecycling

Use the discount code for $6 off. Membership fees vary, e.g. $115 / year for a typical full year. Memberships are pro rata, so it seems that today's price is $64.41, minus $6 brings it down to $58.41. All memberships expire on 1 July, so after that date it'll cost $115 to renew.

Note: I'm not a member, I haven't decided if it's worth it for myself. The main benefit seems to be accident and liability insurance, doesn't cover your actual bike.

Does it give you rights to ride on the road?

  • In order to qualify for accident and liability insurance do you need to show competency on the road and knowledge of the rules like the rest of the road users or is that not relevant?

you mean like pedestrians and ute drivers?

      • you mean like pedestrians

Yeah, exactly like that…or not. Sure pedestrians use the road but as it's generally just to get to the other side and as they don't spend a majority of their time on the road they are not who I was referring by road users.

        and ute drivers?

Wow, is there an exception from holding a current drivers licence if you drive a ute?

The lack of logic in your response does not surprise me.
