  Yeah my local store had that sticker. "Activate within 30 days of purchase or by the date advertised on a promotion". Also directly above the stock there were promo flappers for the bonus data thing running at the moment. So I would be arguing I only need to activate before the end of that promo, otherwise what promo are they talking about.

  Also I bought one from that Coles deal the other week, the stock came from under the counter and had no such stickers.

    There is an expiry date on the back of the pack. I've got some with September 2018. The SIM and credit should work till then, of course the promos might change in the meantime.

    You can't activate these sims on pre-paid data plans, only on pre-paid phone plans. Having said that you can still use the sim in a data device, like a dongle.

  If want the 40GB plan on Optus, can I use the 30 dollars and simply add 10 dollar voucher and then choose 40 dollar recharge plan?
