What brand SSD to buy?

I've got my old 2011 15" MacBook Pro I'm looking to upgrade the HD to an SSD, just wondering what brand I should go for and what prices I should be paying. I'm looking for at least 250gb but would prefer 500gb.

    I grabbed a 525gb crucial on ozbargain 2 weeks ago have too wait it out to get a good deal

    Honestly if you just use your MacBook for everyday office work, web surfing, study then just grab a much cheaper mx300 or Sandisk ultra II. You wouldn't notice any difference for those tasks or boot speeds with a Samsung evo. Save $50 IMO.

    Had a 1TB crucial SSD fitted to my 27" iMac when the HD died, its so dam fast, dead quiet cant believe it, not sure if 1TB would fit a Pro?..
