Watches with Italian Calf Leather Strap $48 (Were $79.50 - RRP $159) Free Shipping @ W Time

70

As if entering an alternative universe, the bizarre notion came to me to post a deal about W Time watches!

Nowadays some ladies consider it fashionable to wear a large, flat watch. I sincerely hope so because I bought my stepdaughter a 44mm Swiss Made watch for Christmas. Please don't tell her. It is not minimalist like these examples from W Time:-

https://www.wtime.com.au/products/rose-gold-pale-pink
https://www.wtime.com.au/products/rose-gold-pale-grey
https://www.wtime.com.au/products/rose-gold-tan

Case diameter - 38mm
Case thickness - Ultra thin 8mm
Movement - Japanese Quartz Movement
Case - Stainless Steel Back
Water Resistance - 3ATM
Strap Lug Width - 20mm
Strap Genuine Italian Calf Leather
Two year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
All watches come in a W Time box. https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/192752/44781/img_1834.…

I doubt these are greatly different to alternative brands adopting a similar minimalist approach. The Italian calf leather strap sweetens the deal and, at $48 delivered, this could be a solution if you have difficulty choosing Christmas gifts. For free gift-wrapping, comment "Gift wrap please" on your order. Delivery time is 2 - 5 days.

Why did you neg them big time on their last post and now you posted this deal?

    Where is the bargain?

    • You are absolutely right. I couldn't think of a better way of showing their Rep how to do it properly. I say take the RRP with a large pinch of salt. It is technically a bargain due to the price reduction, but I would not purchase one unless somebody I care for showed a strong interest. However, some people like minimalist watches.

      • +3

Fair enough. Technically it isn't a bargain because you as the OP wouldn't buy one yourself lol.

I just found it weird since you negged them. If there was a discount code it would have made more sense, since I'd say $48 is perhaps the discounted price closer to a realistic RRP figure (e.g. $69.95)

And then there are people who are willing to shell out $200 for a Daniel Wellington. Unfathomable.

        • You are of course right about their RRP. It was a huge mistake to get all pretentious with first Winston and then W Time. Their Associated Rep would have achieved far more here by starting with honesty, sustaining that honesty, and providing more detail about their product. I even restrained from negging the Winston closing down sale, but the Rep apparently learnt nothing.

It seemed pertinent to say "I doubt these are greatly different to alternative brands adopting a similar minimalist approach". The Daniel Wellington popularity mystifies me too. Apparently the dials are paper! https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4217827/redir

See? It didn't kill them to do it properly.

@PJC: The store's new offer now rendered your bargain obsolete. Time to mark it as expired?

        • @sky blu: Thanks. That didn't occur to me.

        • +1

@PJC: now let's move on to murder comment on their new post 😂

        • @sky blu: As ever they do a fine job of making it difficult for themselves. It was so hard to get them to specify the quality of steel in their description. Like pulling teeth …

        • +1

@PJC: how about you and I go into the watches business :) Kickstarter campaign etc..

Bring 28Degrees on board too. Makes helluva team I'd say😋

    Calf .. no bull? .. :-) .. !~!

The Italian calf leather strap sweetens the deal

The skin of a killed child - so sweet.

Wriggling hard in its death throes, haemorrhaging on the floor while mooing for its mother as the rotating blade glints in the midday sun - in Italy. Nothing but the best for W Time.

          Wow! Here, knock yourself out.

        • @thevofa: Thank you. I hope that was made in Italy. Nothing French about these watch straps.

        • +1

          @thevofa: Omg I shouldn't have watched this.

        • +1

@sky blu: best recourse is to never again pay for it to happen. (that's called going vegan)

        • @thevofa: A valid argument on that topic is by going vegan, one removes/withdraws oneself from the issue, not fix it.

As with any other propoganda material, the video compiles graphic evidences of different animal mistreatments to prove a point. I don't disagree, but if you think about it, the severity of the issue being portrayed would perhaps lessen if they had used evidence on how fish are caught and gutted. Technically it is no different from how meat is produced from chickens, yet not as equally graphically horrendous.

        • @sky blu: the issue is "fixed" when enough individual people withdraw from it. Like racism, or homophobia, or any social justice.

    • Italian calf.

  • Thanks for posting this deal PJC. Much appreciated. Just adding that all watches come with a 2 year warranty. Details in our FAQ: https://www.wtime.com.au/pages/faqs

    • That is the first time the Associated Rep has provided information about warranty. I have amended the description accordingly. Still no confirmation about gift-wrapping. Also nothing about delivery estimates or whether the watch comes in a box. All basic stuff that helps a prospective customer choose a Christmas gift.

  • calf, veal same thing right? kill & consume anything for pleasure.

    • -1

I might have a pastrami sandwich for lunch. With your watch order, request one of the hoof-signed suicide notes.

  • Thanks for the prompt PJC.

Delivery time is 2-5 days. See product pages: https://www.wtime.com.au/products/rose-gold-pale-pink

All watches come in a W Time box.

    • No photo of a W Time box, which may encourage someone selecting a gift, and still no confirmation about gift-wrapping.

      • Hi PJC, we can gift wrap orders if people add a comment in their order: Gift wrap please.

Not sure how to post a photo of the box on this thread. Any tips?

        • My Account>Posts>files>Upload New File. Then right-click the photo, select Copy Link Location, and paste it in your next comment.

A photo of a W Time watch's movement may also reassure prospective customers because they like to know what they would get for their money. With your defunct Winston brand, you eventually specified which Japanese movement and 316L steel for the case.

@PJC: Thanks PJC. Here's a photo of the packaging of each watch: https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/192752/44781/img_1834.…

        • @wtime: Thanks for the suggestion of the movement image.

I like the white dial 39mm Skmei 9083 that has a separate seconds hand & date window for $10.46 delivered
Cheaper here - approx $10.11 delivered

    • +1

Very impressive value for the money.

Lume on hands only and not on markers right?

      • +1

Lume will be hopeless anyway on a $10 watch.
