    Unfortunately reviews aren't that great.

Isn't that site where hardly anyone gives positive reviews and everyone just complains so hardly any products are above three stars?

I think the image is wrong. Shouldn't it be this one?

    • yeah just saw that!

    • The "related products" section on this page has the right image for the juicer but Harris Scarfe do not have the correct image on their website

Just thought I'd share my experience with juicing while we have a deal for a juicer….I had a similar Sunbeam juicer and then I recently bought a slow juicer from Aldi (Kuchef badge) and it is heaps better. Improved taste in juice because it uses less force and speed, therefore you get a fuller extraction of juice and less foam. I would recommend a slow juicer to anyone into juicing. It also make frozen deserts using any fruit popped in freezer (separate attachment).

    • Thanks for posting! This is just the info I was after.

Can you please tell me how much was your aldi slow juicer? What are we good and bad points? Can you compare the ease of cleaning for sunbeam vs aldi?

      Cheers!

        Hey janeymac,

Sure thing. This is the slow juicer that I bought. It was $130 I think (I have a terrible memory for prices and yet I am an ozbargainer, go figure!).

        Good

Juice flavour, durability, ease of cleaning (after learning curve, see below.)

        Bad

Initial learning curve, especially when dismantling to clean after juicing (there are some tricks like rocking the auger back and forth to dislodge from central pin inside the juicing bowl!)

        Cleaning

I say it is a little harder to clean than the Sunbeam but now that I have used it several dozen times I am a pro at it and it takes me less than a minute if I do it straight away (like all juicers, the sooner you clean the better). There is this little trick I have developed I like to call "the rocking motion"…. that helps loosen the auger from the central pin that holds it in place. Once you develop the rocking motion, in two different directions, you can generally pull up the auger with your hand and the rest is easy.

we can all do with a little more rocking, anyway ;-)
