New Car Tyres - 4 Tyres for Each Car (2 Cars)

Hello,

Thought I would make a quick post on here to check if there are any promotions going on for car tyres.

I need to purchase 8 car tyres in total as the current ones have worn out. Hence looking to get 4 new car tyres fitted, balanced etc. for both cars ASAP.

Car 1 tyres size - 225/45/R17 (2007 Audi A3 4door hatchback)
Car 2 tyres size - 195/55/R15 (2013 VolksWagen Polo 4 door hatchback)

Around the Brisbane QLD area.

Preferbaly Pirelli, Continental, Michelin brand.

Bridgestone have buy 3 get 1 free at the moment. I recently had Turanza Serenity Plus tyres put on our Camry plus a wheel alignment for $485 (at Bridgestone Service Centre but other outlets should have the deal). You could probably get cheaper if you ring around.

  Thanks mate. Phoned Jax Tyres before and the guy was in a rush to go over specials running at the moment so just hung up the phone. I'll go online and check around the deals going on at the moment.

Michellin doing $100 cashback on select tyres, I recently purchased through tyresales .com.au and they price matched for me as well. Choose service centre closest to you and they'll ship to them within 3-4 days and they do the install on behalf of tyresales.

    I price matched with Jax tyres actually who had the $100 off deal, just mentioned to the tyresales guy the price they had it for online and he beat it by $10 or something. Paid $510 for Michelin Sport 3's. I checked costco and the same tyres were a couple hundred more. Best of luck.

if you are near costco check Michelin prices in costco. usually they are cheaper but they dont do wheel alignment.

  Hi apple2016, yes checked with Costco - correct they don't do wheel allignment and they were coming to be a bit more expensive compared to tyresales / tyre retailers such as Jax Tyres

So far checking online Bob Jane, Jax Tyres & TyreSales.com.au are offering the best deal. Will be rining Kmart and few others also to see what price they can offer.

Bridgestone for sure with the buy 3 get one free deal.

I'm getting a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE003 in your size 225/45/R17 for $510 + $50 for a 4 wheel alignment from Bob Jane which is super cheap!

Add $125 from the AMEX offer and it's under $100 a tyre (excluding alignment).. crazy cheap IMO. I paid closer to $300 each for Continental ContiSport Contact in the same size years ago (OEM tyre for my Golf GTI and probaby Audi A3 too).

They are replacing Michelin Pilot Sport 3 currently on my car, good tyre, but I prefer Bridgestone Potenza's.

Super high end Pirelli's are good, normal Pirelli's are rubbush IMO. Bridgestone Potenza anyday.

  Thanks for the input mate. Considering Bridgestone now - yes buy 3 get 1 free offer is very good! Kmart offered them for $580 but were happy to price beat. Can you link me to the AMEX offer please?

      No worries yes definitely. Hopefully Kmart can do a deal for me on the Bridgestones! Which ones would you recommend for the VW Polo? Continental?

      Kmarts normal price is $187 a tyre. Called up 2 stores in Vic. Even costco have them for $183.
      
      You got them for about $140 which is unbelievable cheap. Well done.

      I rang around - bob jane said $525 and jax tyres said $485.
      
      So Kmart guy asked for cheapest quote I got and beat it at $460! Best customer service by far and I didn't know but they offer free rotation etc. post sale. So Kmart guy said to come back after about 6 months for tyre rotation to extend life. Now to wait for a deal to come up again for Munich other car tyres (2013 vw polo - can't remember tyre size for that one) which will due in about 6 months time!

      I called up the K-Mart you got it from hoping they quote less than $170 per tyre so I can get Bob Jane to price match it.
      
      But they were $187 a tyre, same price as 2 other local K-Marts.
      
      I wanted to purchase from BJ to get the $125 cash back Amex offer.
      
      So yesterday I got mine changed for $560 including 4 wheel alignment, less $125 which I think is a super deal. If it was $460 less $125, I would frame the reciept and display it on my wall lol.
      
      I noticed every tyre place will price it at ~$180 but ask you if you have been quoted elsewhere and say they will beat the price.
      
      BJ will call up the store to verify the competitors price if you want to price beat/match their price. But the competitor won't offer their best price unless you negotiate/fib which means that IMO BJ won't offer the best price.
      
      At least BJ offer a free wheel alignment and rotation in 3 months.
      
      I'm still happy with the price I got but would have been over the moon if i got it for you paid.

  Yes - they were extremely friendly and helpful on the phone. And I usually get my car serviced from them so yeah will get both new tyres fitted and car serviced since the car is due for service as well. Thanks!

    It's what I did for our x trail for Pirelli tyres. Tried Jay, person that served me was rude so went to ktas and they beat the price easy and were great to deal with.

  Just be carefull with them if you have pressure sensors. I had tyres done by them and two of the sensors no longer work. Complained and they refused any responsibility.

I've been trying to find good deals for replacing my Camry's tyres. What I have at the moment are Michelin Primacy LC. How does it compare against Bridgestone's Turanza serenity plus? Have a quote from Bridgestone for 4 tyres including wheel alignment, fitting and old tyre disposal for $430 (4 for the cost of 3 offer).

I'm aiming to get the same or equivalent tyres.
