  • This is a fairly old product. Is there something newer?

    • Old doesn't mean bad! For me personally I was looking for a 1) wireless/bluetooth, 2) backlit, 3) high quality keyboard.

Logitech certainly does have newer keyboards, including the recently released K780, but that is not backlit and has a tray at the front for holding phones/tablets which is not of any use to me.

If you're looking for a backlit keyboard the K810/K811 is your best bet. The K800 is also a wireless backlit keyboard but IMO not as elegant or bluetooth based.

    • This is an old product, but a very good product. The replacements are not as well built and does not feel better.. not too mention are far cheaper in price as well. I've got one of these and have been trying to source another for about 6months now. I use it everyday as a developer, so the keys do get abused a fair amount, so this one i'm buying will be a spare.. not sure if i should have bought more than one spare.. oh wells..

      Thanks OP!

  • What's the pros/cons of BT vs WiFi for a keyboard?
I've got the wifi version of this and it's brilliant but am looking for a spare.

    • No need for a USB receiver - this could be a pro or con depending on if you have other wireless Logitech devices.

  • If only the K830 was better priced after conversion. I refuse to buy from those ebay sellers who bought up all the stock at Costo

  • -1

This seems quite expensive for what is a very basic keyboard without a trackpad. I miss their DiNovo Edge keyboards - such a great product (until the wife dropped it so many times it broke). No idea why they stopped selling them. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-diNovo-Edge-Keyboard-Black/d…

    • Same boat. There was nothing that could compare to the DiNovo Edge; my perfect setup. But the K800/MX Master is 99% as good, trust me.
Remember how expensive the DiNovo was…

      • honestly depends what you're looking for. The DiNovo was very much designed as a keyboard for a media PC system, with a sizeable footprint. If your idea of a perfect keyboard is the DiNovo, the K810/K811 will unlikely be the right keyboard for you.

I am personally looking for a high quality typing experience, and the K810/k811 ability to be connected to three devices at one time with seamless switching between those devices makes this the perfect keyboard for me.

        Apples and oranges.

  • But, I just said it was the right keyboard for me -_-
